I honestly think it’s a bit unfair how much hate is being thrown in Ember’s direction, when other and bigger vtubers who also use voice changers, lying to people and are visibly doing wrong things as well.

At least be consistent either way with your virtues and principles, and apply it to everyone, or to no one.
I still think people can enjoy both vtubers, even knowing they’re men. And that’s everyone’s personal choice.

In regards to what I replied about the screenshots coming out: It's really weird now knowing what is now known. However to be completely honest, and if there's one thing I learned from the drama last year with Sinder, it's that not every screenshot shown is the full picture. I'm not denying Maria's feelings, I'm sure she feels betrayed by everything and that's valid, however a second look and basically telling Ember it was okay regardless well....at that point you gave him consent man or woman.
Now to move onto the purity standards Strawb, Templar and others are trying to set as the moral standard let me ask you something: If you're so consistent than why are you even allowing the group chat to become sexual or even slightly lewd in the first place? Especially if members of said group are married. Is that not still portraying lust no matter what manner it is? I'm not gonna moral fag here I'm just asking a genuine question, cause it doesn't make sense to me.
The things that should matter the most is that at least Ember didn't deflect and downplay. They came out and said it was the truth. The book they wrote? Okay, so what? He explained it's not supposed to be smut or portrayed that way. Final thoughts: Strawb is no better than Shylily, and I'm not sorry for saying that. Leaf is correct that there are bigger issues than "godless heathens and degenerates!" Honestly: there is no situation with Ember going on.
If it's such a big issue that people lie, or in your case: you claiming that you hate liars and find it disgusting for men pretending to be women in the vtubing scene... why have you only started speaking up about this *now* with Ember, and not with Zentreya... who has been doing that very same thing for way longer.
Is it because Ember is smaller? Because Zen has too many connections and is too big for you to handle?
Now, I'm not saying you should be going after Zentreya. It's just this very selective targeting of someone you can seemingly can "bully" or target, just because they do something you don't like. "Some are okay, while others aren't. (despite doing the EXACT same thing)" That kind of mentality. It's stupid.
I do agree on this: people lying to their own audience is not okay. Think that's common sense. It increasingly becomes a bigger issue when it's done for monetary means or for fame.
Ember or Zentreya, or anyone for that matter, using a voice changer should not matter. What should matter are the intentions towards others.
I don't care that Ember is a man. Nor do I care that Zentreya is a man. That should literally not matter to anyone. What is it to you, me, or anyone? Will you knowing that Ember or Zen being men suddenly change your life? Will it make you get a promotion at work? Will the heavens finally descend upon the Earth?
It should only start bothering people, when it's done with malicious and deceitful intent, especially towards their own audience and friends. These should be called out.
