REPORT: Michigan currently possesses documents that could link the private investigators who revealed information on Michigan’s sign-stealing scandal to the media. Who are the links? Michigan reporters believe they Ryan Day’s brother, Timothy Day, and another link connecting his other brother, Christopher Day, who currently runs a private investigation firm in Day’s hometown. You know not to mess with Chris, given his previous and current line of work. To illustrate how invested he is in Ryan’s career, he has talked about the windows he’s broken in his home while cheering on Ohio State. Chris even had a role in helping Ryan Day prep for the TCU game back in 2018. After a long night of drawing up plays and perfecting the game script, Chris drove with Corey Dennis to get Ryan’s cards laminated. Chris was quoted telling The Athletic, “F*** it… I’m in the DEA; I’ll protect that shit.” One can only imagine what links Chris would go to to protect his brother and his rival if he were willing to take laminated sheets so seriously. Michigan also alleges that the spreadsheet with Connor Stalions’ travel plans and budget for his operation in which he paid people to video opposing teams’ signs was obtained illegally. Rumors are that this information will not inhibit the NCAA’s investigation, but Michigan media is hopeful it will impact how the Big Ten responds. No solid proof has been given at this time, but the Michigan media is hard at work to find and present evidence soon. – at Ann Arbor, MI
