Why did no one call a time out? You could see from the way Johnson reached the ball out it was going to be close. I was shocked that Denver declined the penalty. Chiefs have 87 coaches on the field and box and not a single one noticed the spot?
Andy Reid on the refs re-spotting the ball from 4th-and-2 to 4th-and-inches after the Chiefs sent their punt unit onto the field in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game in Denver:
“As we ran our punt team out, then they moved the ball up to what looked like less than a football, very close to the yard marker. Well, by that time, they've got you.”
Adds that if the ball had been spotted correctly: “Pretty good chance you're probably gonna go for the thing.”
Agree with most of this post, with a couple exceptions:
Cyrus Allen has to be a better route runner. Yesterday he cut a route short and would have been a TD.
Hicks is often out of position
Emmitt Johnson needs more touches
Not sure Tucker is an upgrade vs. Butker.
Some hard truths about the Chiefs.
- Chris Jones is not a top 10 DL anymore. His salary is dragging the team down a bad road.
- Kicking is mental. Butker is fried. It's time to cut him and his giant salary. No one can possibly trust him anymore.
- The D-line is broken.
-The O-line is broken.
- Worthy is a WR3 or 4, not a 2 (much less a 1). Cyrus needs his snaps.
-Gilman is slow and bad. The goaline stop was cool, but his play overall has been horrendous. He's a liability.
-Sneed is cooked. Get Canady in there. Start looking ahead.
- Connor was not great either. He's coming back from IR so I'll give him a pass for now. Where is Hicks?
- Creed needs to have a snapping lesson and perform 100 perfect snaps everyday before he leaves the building.
- Toub is not "The best Special Teams coach" in the NFL, maybe not even in the Big 12.
- Remigio can catch punts, but he's slow and will never contribute as a WR or a SP gunner. Wasted roster spot.
- Ending with positives - The RBs room is great. QB is great, Karlaftis is playing well, Delane has been good, Rice makes a difference, Kelce is still a TE1, Winchester is perfect, Ariza is doing a good job, Cyrus Allen has some juice, Bolton and Tranquill are holding it together (mostly), and I still think Reid is a good coach despite some bad game management last night.
OK, our time is up. See you next week.
If you're going to make a joke, at least get the characters right, or it makes you look stupid. Eli Manning's dad is Archie, not Cooper.
I'll give you 2 and 4. Terrible picks. FAU was a reach in a year where KC needed D-Line, and he's been serviceable. Worthy is finally healthy and has produced back to back solid games. Simmons ... we'll see how it plays out, but he's been a disappointment for sure.
My take on Josh Simmons is ... meh. Come back, don't come back, don't really care. Chiefs are doing fine without him. Benson was a miracle who fell into Chiefs' lap. Let the saga play out this season and trade/cut him if he doesn't play, then draft/trade for a RT.
Bit of a confusing Wednesday for the Chiefs injury report. LT Josh Simmons did not practice for personal reasons, but he's still ramping up from his bulging disc.
WR Rashee Rice (hamstring/knee) and RT Jaylon Moore (concussion) also did not practice.

It's time for the Chiefs to part ways with Remigio. He brings zero to the team in any phase of the game. Cut him and keep Andrew Armstrong on the 53. Armstrong is a gritty WR who will make the tough catch and blocks his a$$ off in the run game.
Tennessee claims the first set 25-23. It was tied 23-23 and the No. 9 Lady Vols scored the last two points for the win.
True. Morris was a fairly solid recruiter. I will give him that.
I'd take Armstrong over TeSlaa all day. At Arkansas, Armstrong was twice the receiver TeSlaa was. Armstrong career 134-1904 6 TD, TeSlaa 62-896 5 TD. Armstrong should have been on the 53.
