Fight against antisemitism and hate in New York is deeply personal for many of our Assembly Republican members, including Assemblyman @MichaelforNY, who strengthened his resolve to combat the growing anti-Jewish bigotry in his community following the October 7 attacks. Our Conference has been steadfast in our rejection of antisemitic behavior on college campuses and communities across the state. Hate has no place in New York. jns.org/news/u-s-news/ny-sta…

“F” for failing. Governor Kathy Hochul and New York rank dead last in a new study on economic and personal liberty. Aggressive taxes and out-of-control state spending put NY’s economic freedom at the bottom. Excessive education choice restrictions, Second Amendment infringements, and government healthcare overreach put NY’s personal freedoms score at the bottom. Congratulations, Gov. Hochul. We’re in the least-free state in the country.

Utility rates in New York are out of control. “Why are we paying 60% more than the rest of the country?” – Assemblyman @MikeTannousis That’s the question, why are New Yorkers being subjected to such energy cost extremes? Well, it starts in Albany. A decade of one-party rule and poorly crafted/implemented energy policies have made the state’s energy grid less reliable and more expensive. silive.com/news/2026/10/thin…

When confronted with the truth, Gov. Hochul has no answers.   Under her leadership & Albany’s one-party rule, NYers have watched: ▪️utility bills skyrocket ▪️ sanctuary policies fuel a migrant crisis ▪️ crushing taxes stifle economic opportunity & growth   Like many, we’re asking: what exactly has she done to help NYers?

Happy Birthday to the @USNavy We are proud to share our support for our nation’s armed forces, both past and present, including the recent safe return of our own Assemblyman @BMaher23ny from his nine-month deployment serving in the @navy_reserve

Democrats’ sanctuary policies protect known dangerous illegal migrants from accountability. We aren’t talking about a handful of individuals. We’re talking about 16,000 detainer requests tied to 52,000 crimes – denied by New York State! Ending cooperation between law enforcement puts people in harm’s way, just to make a political point.

On October 7th, the world witnessed horrific violence and terror that shook us to our core. On the anniversary of the attacks against Israel, we remember the innocent lives lost, honor the resilience of the survivors, and hold the families affected in our hearts. We will not forget and we stand united against antisemitism here and afar.

New York’s firefighters put on the uniform and when the alarm sounds, they choose to run toward danger, committed to ensuring the safety of others. Today, we join thousands of brave and courageous firefighters to honor and remember the lives of New York’s fallen firefighters at the 29th Annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial. 53 new heroes were added to the memorial wall, forever enshrined with their brothers and sisters who lost their lives in the line of duty. Gone but not forgotten.

In a rush to make a social media splash, Letitia James disqualified herself. If the Cornell case is going to be properly investigated, she needs to step away.   This isn’t about politics. It’s about meeting a basic legal standard.

Did you know since 2019 the average price of residential electricity in New York has increased at roughly twice the rate of the national average? Coincidently at the same time New York Democrats implemented climate policies which have proven to be both unrealistic and unaffordable. It makes the recent letter from more than 30 NY Democrat officials all the more concerning: “Rather than devoting financial resources to environmentally destructive, expensive, and slow-to-build nuclear schemes, we should be investing in proven, affordable solutions like wind, solar…” Instead of seeking to expand nuclear energy capabilities, boost energy grid reliability and lower costs, New York Democrats are doubling down on aggressive mandates and overtaking agriculture/green spaces at an alarming rate. Assembly Republicans are instead embracing an all-of-the-above approach that puts common sense and New York ratepayers first.
A coalition of Democrats in the state Legislature came out against a proposal for the state to subsidize Hochul’s plan for 5 GW of nuclear energy by 2040. capitolconfidential.com/p/sh…

Citing a 2023 report, the suicide rate in rural New York is twice that of urban New York. Assemblymembers, Phil Palmesano and @JoeSempo are joining their colleagues and local leaders calling for the creation of a Rural Suicide Prevention Council to strengthen efforts preventing suicide in rural communities across New York. wlea.net/omara-palmesano-and…

Earlier this year, the @NYS_AM forced a vote on A.1064 by @JosephAngelino to provide up to $2,500 tax credit for volunteer firefighters. Democrats immediately voted it down. Ultimately, they were shamed into an $800 tax credit, which is merely a good start. But we could have done more for brave volunteers and begin to address growing staffing shortages in firehouses statewide. news10.com/news/ny-volunteer…

On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we renew our commitment and promise to bring our nation’s service members home. For the families waiting for answers, our vow remains the same: we have not forgotten, and we will not rest until every hero is accounted for.

Empty promises. Mayor Mamdani promised New Yorkers the world: cheap housing, free childcare and free buses. He delivered on none of them. There is no such thing as a “free lunch” because at the end of the day someone has to pay for it. Assembly Republicans recognize the affordability crisis impacting New Yorkers and actually have an actionable plan to start addressing it. Learn more at nygoppolicy.com/

To defy NY’s governor, a county official once threatened to report illegal immigrants applying for drivers’ licenses, so they’d be deported by federal authorities. “I took an oath of office to uphold both state & federal law. I keep that oath on my desk & look at it every day,” she said. That was Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul, now being sued by county sheriffs committed to upholding their oaths. Clerk Hochul would sue Governor Hochul. timesunion.com/capitol/artic…

We will never forget. Twenty-five years ago, America changed forever. In the face of terror & tragedy, we saw extraordinary courage. We saw sacrifice, strength, and a nation rise united. We remember those lost and we honor those who answered the call. Some promises must last forever, and so, we make that promise again.
