3rd, a new 800m PB of 2.00.98 and nearly 1.5 seconds off my Indoor national record!
Thank you to my coach Enda who after a season of 2.02/3s continued to convince me that I had had this time in me. Can’t wait to return to Toruń in a few weeks for Euro Indoors☘️🇮🇪
Outstanding run by @NadiaPower6 in Torun to smash her Irish indoor 800m record, clocking 2:00.98 to finish third.

Medal winners are celebrated automatically, and rightly so, but let’s not forget athletes like Rhys McClenaghan , Jack Woolley, Sanita Puspure & Natalya Coyle whose games didn’t go to plan, despite 5 years and countless hours of gruelling preparation & sacrifices for #Tokyo2020
I also want to say a massive thank you to @TeamIreland for ensuring our Olympic experience was everything we hoped for! We were treated so well and all of the staff went above and beyond to support us in every way. Looking forward to cheering on the rest of the team☘️
Finally home from Tokyo after an unforgettable few weeks
Unfortunately, despite all the preparation, every athlete has bad days and I’m so gutted mine came in Tokyo☹️ thank you to my team, my sponsors and everyone who has supported me, it meant so much💚
It’s finally time to become an Olympian. I’m racing tomorrow in heat 2 at 2.33am Irish time (Thursday night).
Thanks so much for all the incredible support so far💚 ready to give it my all!

🗣️"Huge courage that James showed. His dad passed away and was laid to rest yesterday. To be able to come out and put in a performance like that just shows the type of man he is..."
Mattie Kenny paid tribute to James Madden after Dublin's win over Galway.
Happy with second in the 1500m at nationals today! Well done to Sarah Healy on a brilliant win. Hopefully we’ve both done enough this season to secure selection for the Tokyo Olympics next week🇯🇵🤞
