8. A lesson I am reminded of is that this work is best done with others, but it def matters who you do this work with. Those you surround yourself with, do they inspire you, dream with you, uplift you, celebrate you, hype you, but also challenge you? Do you do the same for them?

#nctmsea was amazing! Y’all, my room of math teachers discussed ethnic studies principles as they reimagined together what math Ed could/should be. I love this work and the teachers on this journey with me
Back on my conference tour! Headed to #gsdmc and #nctmseattle2024 to connect and learn with others. I try to bring innovative convos to math ed, but backed by research and my own experience. I walk the talk. How are you evolving as an educator to uplift student voice and agency?

You think you know the area, until you realize there’s so much more history! If the land could talk, what stories would it tell?
Exciting news! 🌟 Our cofounders @VirginiaHNguyen & @stacyyung return to @CAsocialstudies March with two sessions & a walking tour! Explore resources from the Educators Guide to OC project & Virginia's inquiry set on the Vietnam War from a Vietnamese American perspective. 🍊

Join us! I always refer to this as an affinity space, more than a conference. Come for the learning and community, stay for the awesome exhibit hall and support local AAPI businesses and orgs!
