Nicotine gets a tough break in comments on Twitter ... until this guy speaks. 🤡
Aiming to addict children and young people under 18 to nicotine of any kind will set them up for lifelong health harms and is completely unacceptable. New regulations coming in today will make it harder for those trying to profit from doing this. gov.uk/government/speeches/u…

“European regulators have a choice now in their hands between a dark future with organised gangs or a bright future with law abiding companies, and I hope they make the right choice.” <- The incompetent @OliverVarhelyi is in charge. Of course they won't. brusselssignal.eu/2026/10/br…

If your teenage son or daughter smokes, it is now illegal for you to buy them something much less harmful which is promoted by the NHS as a quit smoking aid. Brilliant work, 'public health' professionals!

Enough is enough. Yet another kick in the teeth for law-abiding vape retailers. Just when you thought the Government couldn't do any more damage to the vaping sector, the Budget delivers another blow. In England, specialist vape shops are set to lose business rates relief, while the mini-market next door selling cigarettes, alcohol, sweets AND vapes could still qualify for full relief if they come in under the new rateable value threshold of £18k. The Government has yet to clarify exactly which retailers will count as vape shops. How can that possibly be fair? The Vaping Products Duty. An advertising ban due next June. Proposed restrictions on retail displays and standardised packaging. And now this. One crippling policy after another, targeting an industry that has helped millions of smokers quit - while illegal vape sales and underage sales remain serious enforcement challenges, despite laws being in place to stop them. Questions are already being raised about how enforcement will be resourced as the regulatory burden grows. And with sweeping advertising restrictions coming, even moving online presents challenges for struggling bricks-and-mortar retailers. The UKVIA will be monitoring shop closures, growth in illicit sales, the risk of former smokers returning to cigarettes and the potential consequences for the NHS. The Government should be supporting responsible businesses, not driving them out of business. Enough is Enough. It's time for a Fair Deal for Vaping. "Hazel Cheeseman, chief executive of Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), warned [about] reinforcing the dangerous misconception that vaping is as harmful as smoking." <- I reckon the massive new vaping tax that ASH supported has already done that! 🤦‍♂️dailymail.com/news/article-1…

Decisions that affect millions of people are made in processes that are open to everyone and attended by almost no one. Not because people don’t care, because nobody tells them when it’s happening, and the language makes it feel like it wasn’t meant for them anyway. That’s exactly what we’re here to change. We show up, we respond, and when something opens that’s worth your time, we tell you where to click. Your voice belongs in those rooms. We’re just here to make sure it gets there! This 11 minute video is well worth a watch to understand the systemic corruption of the @WHO. Boldly boasting how they will fabricate evidence to support their dangerous ideology. The organization is acting #WorseThanBigTobacco and harming global public health.
The WHO has stopped pretending to care about evidence. Its solution? Higher taxes, more bans, and policies that hand billions to organised crime. We spoke to @vapers_alliance about the WHO's ideological agenda, Australia's tobacco black market catastrophe, and why prohibition kills while harm reduction saves lives. 🎥 youtu.be/3rQ3eW0yK28?si=f5Wo…
