OTTAWA COMMITS $32 BILLION TO FIRST NATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE AND ANOTHER $3 BILLION FOR HEALTH SERVICES
Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government has announced $32 billion over the next decade for First Nations on-reserve infrastructure and housing, including $18.5 billion for roads, bridges, schools, healthcare facilities and water systems.
An additional $2.9 billion over three years is earmarked for the Non-Insured Health Benefits Program.
Despite the funding commitments, the Assembly of First Nations says considerably more investment is needed, estimating the infrastructure shortfall at approximately $375 billion over the next decade.
Housing shortages, inadequate infrastructure and ongoing drinking water advisories remain major challenges in First Nations communities across Canada.
“Trouble” was originally written and released by Cat Stevens in 1970. But some songs take on a whole new life when another artist gets hold of them. And when Eddie Vedder covers your song, somehow it becomes his.

The majority of real Canadians don’t want mass immigration. We want immigration from the nations our founding ancestors came from, with people who share our values, heritage, and traditions.
Handing out pieces of paper granting citizenship to people from the Third World doesn’t mean they share those values or speak on behalf of Canadians whose families have been here for generations.

WINNIPEG MAN FACES U.S. EXTRADITION OVER ALLEGED $11.5 MILLION COVID LOAN FRAUD
Ajay Singh, a 46-year-old Winnipeg resident and Canadian citizen, is facing extradition to the United States over an alleged $11.5 million USD pandemic relief fraud scheme.
U.S. federal prosecutors allege Singh submitted fraudulent COVID-19 relief loan applications claiming nearly 500 employees across multiple companies, including one reportedly operating from a small office rented for just $450 a month.
Investigators allege that only approximately $5,000 of the millions obtained was spent on legitimate business expenses.
Following an extradition request from U.S. authorities in Wisconsin, Singh was arrested in Canada and later released under strict bail conditions, including surrendering his passport.
His extradition proceedings remain ongoing, and the allegations have not been proven in court.

Carney says Canada will wait for the next U.S. president if that's what it takes to get a fair trade deal. Better no deal than a bad one. Now build at home so we can actually afford to wait.
