• Must meet academic progress (96 credits + GPA) for the 5th
• Seasons don’t have to be consecutive
• Starts Fall 2027
• Only for athletes who still had eligibility entering 2026-27
• 20% rule + medical hardships for charging seasons are eliminated

Baseball offseason throwing program, step one is rest. Pitch Smart says pitchers under 18 need at least four months a year off throwing, two to three in a row. Shut it down after fall ball, get stronger, then build back slowly. As a dad, I'd rather miss a lesson than an arm.

I’ve coached players who reached MLB, AAA and AA. Even they took time off to recover.
But youth players don’t need rest?
Is it really about development, or is it all about money?
