Strikeouts and the draft. Factual percentages prove that future major league hitters do not strike out a lot as amateur players. Scouts and scouting departments have known this for decades. Abner may have even mentioned it when he invented the game. Hitters that do strike out a lot will either go undrafted or be discounted drastically. So learning to shorten your swing and make contact with two strikes may be the difference between being drafted or not or the difference between getting a lot or a little bit of money. Good Guides are as follows High School and Travel Ball-5% or less Junior College-10% or less Division 1-15% or less Future MLB hitters have some other commonalities. They walk a lot. They have video games like OPS numbers. High School and Travel Ball-1.500 Plus Junior College-1.400 Plus Division 1-1.200 Plus

I am still amazed how all of the baseball hall of famers ever figured out how to play the game without spin rate, exit velocity, launch angle, spine angle, hit trax, and all the data and analytics gurus. I guess they just busted their ass, outworked people and were tough or just got lucky.

Players Are you smart enough to listen to this interaction and understand exactly what was said? Pat Murphy is laughing at the Yankees 3-1 selfish autoswings. Jake Bauers says 3-0 doesn't stand a f-ing chance. They are saying the Yankees are a bunch of selfish showcase clowns. Most of you will not have a clue what they are saying and how important it is. Most of the data analytics batting cage gizmo gadget guru coaches are lost.

The data and analytics maniacs are running around the office saying the team that hit the most home runs won. Hiring more exit velocity and launch angle batting cage instructors and buying more gizmos and gadgets.
Very interesting. I have been told that the only way to score runs at the major league level is to hit home runs? Home runs … (5 games) Milwaukee Brewers 3 HR… Tampa Bay Rays 1 HR… Combined World Series total 4 HR Hits (5 games) Milwaukee Brewers 51 hits… Tampa Bay Rays 30 hits… Combined total 81 hits Runs (5 games) Milwaukee Brewers 25 runs… Tampa Bay Rays 12 runs… Combined total 37 runs

#WorldSeries Champions — How the Milwaukee Brewers were BUILT… Catchers
William Contreras came via a three-team trade with the Braves and Athletics ahead of the 2023 season.
Gary Sánchez signed as a free agent before the 2026 season (he previously played for Milwaukee in 2024). Infielders
Brice Turang was the Brewers’ first-round pick (No. 21 overall) in the 2018 draft out of Santiago High School.
Cooper Pratt was selected in the sixth round of the 2023 draft and later signed a long-term extension.
Joey Ortiz arrived in the February 2024 trade that sent Corbin Burnes to the Orioles (the same deal that brought DL Hall).
David Hamilton was acquired in the February 2026 trade with the Red Sox (along with Kyle Harrison and Shane Drohan) for Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio, Anthony Seigler, and a draft pick. Was originally drafted in the 7th Rd by the Brewers and reunited with the club.
Andrew Vaughn came in a June 2025 midseason trade from the White Sox for Aaron Civale.
Jake Bauers was first acquired in a post-2023 trade from the Yankees and later re-signed as a free agent. Outfielders
Jackson Chourio signed as an international free agent out of Venezuela in 2021 and later signed a long-term extension.
Luis Lara signed as an international free agent out of Venezuela in 2022 and also inked an extension.
Garrett Mitchell was the Brewers’ first-round pick (No. 20 overall) in the 2020 draft out of UCLA.
Sal Frelick was the Brewers’ first-round pick (No. 15 overall) in the 2021 draft out of Boston College.
Christian Yelich was acquired in the January 2018 blockbuster trade with the Marlins (for Lewis Brinson, Isan Díaz, Monte Harrison, and Jordan Yamamoto) and later signed a long-term extension. Starting Pitchers & Rotation
Jacob Misiorowski was a second-round pick in the 2022 draft out of Crowder College.
Logan Henderson was a fourth-round pick in the 2021 draft.
Brandon Woodruff was an 11th-round pick in the 2014 draft out of Mississippi State; after earlier free-agency periods and re-signings, he returned for 2026 by accepting Milwaukee’s qualifying offer.
Kyle Harrison arrived in the February 2026 trade with the Red Sox.
Robert Gasser came in the 2022 trade-deadline deal that sent Josh Hader to the Padres.
DL Hall was part of the February 2024 Corbin Burnes trade with the Orioles.
Dustin May was acquired at the 2026 trade deadline from the Cardinals (with JoJo Romero) for prospects Alexander Frias and Josiah Ragsdale. Relievers & Bullpen
Aaron Ashby was a fourth-round pick in the 2018 draft and later signed a multi-year extension.
Abner Uribe signed as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic in 2018.
Trevor Megill was acquired in an April 2023 trade with the Twins for Taylor Floyd.
Shane Drohan arrived in the February 2026 trade with the Red Sox.
JoJo Romero was acquired at the 2026 trade deadline from the Cardinals (with Dustin May).
Antonio Senzatela was acquired at the 2026 trade deadline from the Rockies for Juan Martinez and Mark Manfredi. Of the 26-man World Series roster, roughly—15 arrived via trade—7 were drafted by Milwaukee—3 signed as international amateurs, and 1 (Sánchez) was a pure MLB free-agent signing. The roster reflects the Brewers’ typical small-market approach: heavy emphasis on the amateur draft and international development—plus targeted trades, with very limited free-agency spending.

The Brewers obviously do the opposite. Most MLB hitters are being taught by maniacs that never played the game. Pull the ball. Forcing pitch counts is not important. Do not change the approach with two strikes. Every swing should be to produce maximum exit velocity. Swings should produce enough launch angle to go over the wall. Strikeouts are acceptable in any situation. Situational hitting is not important. Home runs are the goal and will get you paid. MLB teams are hiring coaches and instructors to teach the showcase style of hitting.

A lot of players from the islands played in the world series. Guess what most of them will do now. They will play in winter leagues. A lot of you maniacs that tell players they need to take seasons off because of load management or training need to pay attention. Players need to learn to train and play at the same time if they want to be the best of the best. American players should be advised to play as much as possible and a lot of them are being told the opposite.

Most of the league is playing showcase baseball and the Brewers are playing winning baseball.
Jeter to Murphy... “The Brewers play baseball the right way” …. - Pat Murphy replies … “Guys today don’t understand that!” We have gotten so far away from center as to what winning baseball is and looks like… the younger generation’s focus is on launch angle, spin rates, velocity and you only win by out slugging the opponent! Basically…. Hit more HR than the other team…. Then pimp the HR. Well eyes have been opened. They have to be. It’s now a matter of … if pride will keep the other orgs from following. If they do… our game will skyrocket like never before. It was literally the most beautiful baseball I have seen at the MLB level … electric! @MLBNetwork @MLB @MLBONFOX @nextlevelbb

Ring Dougie Up. Doug Reynolds is a hall of fame scout and incredible human being that is respected and admired by his peers because of his work ethic and character. He has been with Milwaukee for 34 years and is currently a national cross checker that genuinely appreciates and protects the Brewers. Doug is a true professional that has helped so many players and colleagues and is now a world champion.

Reliability and Dependability require practice. Parents Are team practice and game schedules only a recommendation to you? Have you taught your son that he is entitled to pick and choose what he attends and what he does not? Players Finish what you start (the quit gene is real). Be the best teammate on every team you're a part of. Be reliable and dependable (be the player on the team that attends 100% of everything). Be the player that is wanted because your coaches trust you.

Being undersized in terms of weight and strength is a choice for the lazy and unmotivated. You are underweight because you refuse to eat enough calories. You are weak because you are allergic to the weight room. Do This. Make an unwavering commitment to the weight room. Lift heavy weight. Eat 6000 calories daily. Take 5g of creatine daily. Drink a protein shake at lunch with 25g of protein daily. Drink a gallon of water daily. No sodas. No energy drinks. Eat two hard boiled eggs and 16 ounces of vitamin D chocolate milk before bed. Sleep 8 hours every night. Weigh yourself on the same day every week. Lift like a linebacker. Eat like a lineman. Train on the track like a sprinter.
