Student teacher, Ms. Chronister taught 6th graders new strategies for math and engaged them in multiple hands on activities to solidify understanding of human impact on geography and economics, today. @TheFortFalcons @BellevueSchools @UNOCEHHS
As a former first grade teacher, I was able to study, and put into practice, the science of reading. I’m super excited to take that knowledge and bring morphology into 6th grade this year! Also, I just love how well these kids work together! @TheFortFalcons @BellevueSchools
This is the last time this photo will include all 4 of them. They’re all at different stages of “excitement” over the school year, but we know they’re in good hands.
First, third, and final years at @MillardNorthHS and then one left over at @MPS_Kiewit
I’m excited for their journeys, while also sad T is a senior 😭 So many emotions going into this school year.
So many new skills acquired and awards this year…Orchestra letters, National French Awards, and today, she receive an email stating she is an AP Scholar at @MillardNorthHS so proud of my #hssenior! Any #college will be lucky to have her!!
I can’t be the only teacher that thrives on the consistency of a daily schedule. I’m torn between enjoying sleeping in and wanting to be back in the classroom.
Welp…shoulda gone yesterday 😭 the sun came out 5min later, but ya know…#adventureland #nationallampoon #summervacationfail
#DesMoines surprised me! Such a beautiful little city with so many fun things to see. My artistic and historian sides were both happy….even though the sundial was off by more than an hour 😉 #teacheronbreak
Water day on the last day of our combined summer school, aptly named, LeCrook! 5th and 6th grade wrapped it up with a water balloon fight! @LeMayOwls @TheFortFalcons @BellevueSchools
Stem day! Did some research on tall building structures, watched @BillNye, and then got 20min with 25 note cards and some tape. Height and ability to withstand wind determined the winners. @BellevueSchools
Summer school at LeCrook. @JRamirezBPS is always willing to jump in and play a game with the kids! @BellevueSchools
Thanks @OfcHobbs for stopping by @TheFortFalcons to discuss the seriousness of bullying. Drummed up some emotions but it was really important for these kids to hear it from someone other than their teachers. We appreciate you!
#ReadAcrossAmericaWeek This second grade cutie came running down the 6th grade hall to show me his Harry Potter outfit He didn’t know Id be there as Molly Weasley. Yes, I brought knitting needles 😂#favcharacterday @TheFortFalcons @BellevueSchools
It was “Take a Shelfie” day at @TheFortFalcons for Read Across America week. @MsFischer2 and I grabbed our class read alouds for this one. @BellevueSchools
All of those books from our school libraries came in good use! 6th grade is tucked at the end of the hall, we don’t see many people, but when we do get visitors, they stop to compliment all the hard work put into these! #proudteacher @TheFortFalcons @BellevueSchools
This morning’s sun dog view from @TheFortFalcons @BellevueSchools photo cred to one of my students.
For a scavenger hunt during PD we had to find something from our first year of teaching. It’s only my 2nd year but these little hands will forever hold my ❤️#teacherlove
