The Ebirah Horror of the Deep and Son of Godzilla one two punch as tropical high adventure duology is highly underrated
The irony of this take is that both the Clone Wars and Last Jedi made it pretty clear that the Jedi as an institution was unsustainable. Not sure about where the “Liberal” angle comes in though
The Jedi actually deserved to go extinct. Their entire ideology is inherently antithetical to life itself.
You’re not allowed to have attachments, show emotion, love anyone, be passionate about anything, or embody really any of the qualities that make a sentient living being a sentient living being.
Anything that’s life giving is attacked for being associated with the Sith, who would otherwise be completely correct about everything if it weren’t for their over the top cruelty and cartoonish villainy.
The entire core tenets of the Jedi Order almost perfectly match the late-stage liberal fantasy of a world where existential divisions are all papered over and everyone and everything is forcibly dissolved into a universalist soup managed by a supposedly apolitical priestly caste who wield absolute power while lying through their teeth about how they’re just defenders of democracy.
And like all Liberal orders, the Jedi are so dogmatically committed to the false promise of universalism, neutrality, proceduralism, and “balance” (aka not taking your own side) that they can’t see any existential threats until it is far too late.
I quite like David Lynch’s Dune for its actors and set/costume design. But even I will admit that it bungles the themes and makes Paul an actual savior
NO. It’s fucking stupid and looks ridiculous. Don’t give me this “mastery of the force” or “feinting during a duel.” This moment is stupid as fuck. STUPID. AS. FUCK.
Update on things. I tried really hard to make this Necro Godzilla piece in time for Halloween but life had other plans. My partner is so sick he’s bed bound so I’ve been having to take care of him. And one of my aunts passed away. But I thought I’d share anyway
Fun trivia about this commission- it’s currently displayed in a doctor’s office somewhere in Michigan
I think it would be kind of interesting and brave for Monarch season 3 to not feature Godzilla at all. I’m a sl*t for Showa kaiju though, so I’d love the season to mostly be about Rodan, Anguirus and then throw in Dogora just to fuck with people. Aim for the stars
Hmm, I have concerns
Season 3 of 'Monarch: Legacy of Monsters' is being described as a "reboot."

I’m still bothered by the True Blood tv show because book Sookie is almost always the smartest person in the room and show Sookie just kinda stumbles through the plot
