Translation: I really tried to influence Masi to help Mercedes, but he didn’t listen.
For those who didn’t know: Toto Wolff had lunch with Masi just a few days before the 2021 Abu Dhabi title decider.
🚨 Toto Wolff says he tried to guide Michael Masi throughout the 2021 season before the controversial Abu Dhabi finale.
“I really tried to speak to Michael and guide him all along the year.”
Wolff says he urged Masi to listen to the drivers and be less stubborn with his decisions — admitting he did it “for the good of the sport” but also to protect Mercedes from situations that could hurt them.
Five years later, Toto says he still thinks about the lost 2021 championship “every week.”

Stefano Domenicali was right about the new fans not caring about the technical side of F1, and Norris fans might be the clearest example of it.
Nearly a year into these regs and they’re still think it's about driver adaptability.
There’s barely anything to adapt to when the cars are numb to driver input.
Mercedes has by far the best PU package and 2026 F1 is dominated by energy deployment, something the drivers have no control over. The FIA and the drivers themselves have admitted this.
Alonso said it best: even his chef could drive these AI battery cars.
The skills that once separated elite drivers from the rest have been neutralized. Corners that used to reward bravery, feel and precision are now basically charging stations.

I mean, has there ever been a more damning admission of the complete ineptitude that runs through Pro Ref (PGMOL) than those 11 words??
Enzo is 6-yards from goal attempting a diving header. The whole world could see it should have been offside with one replay. Yet this 'professional' could not "recognise the likely impact of his position".
Just staggering.

Lewis Hamilton will not be investigated despite driving with a damaged car after crashing in final practice. Hamilton was told multiple times to stop his car after he reversed out of the barriers but refused to do so, until coming to a halt in the middle sector. However, Sky Sports F1 understands he will not be investigated by the stewards ❌
So relieved there was at least one professional ‘adult in the room’ (Anthony Davidson) at @SkySportsF1 that set Hamilton fan Ted Kravitz straight and reminded him of his professional broadcasting responsibilities, esp to impressionable young racers & fans

"It's been a bit downwards from the dominant years, but I don't mind also rebuilding it. It's another challenge as well."

There's one 2025 summer signing who needs to justify the enthusiasm and sheer delight that greeted his signing. That's Eberechi Eze!
Yes, he scored some iconic goals, especially against our archrivals, Tottenham, but his overall performance throughout the season leaves much to be desired.
This season Eze must step up, especially as Arsenal have failed to sign any of their marquee LW targets this summer, and fill the void in that position.
We want to see more vigor, power and explosiveness in his game!!
