Nemesis Downfall

After a great deal of reflection and consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down Nemesis Downfall. Despite our best efforts, we faced challenges in scaling the game to a financially sustainable level. Our attempts at raising additional capital in order to improve our operational situation have not been successful even after months of trying. Building this project over the past four years has been an incredible journey, and we’re deeply grateful to our players, team, and community. While we weren’t able to take it as far as we had hoped, we’re proud of what we created together. We produced an amazing game that brought excitement and joy to tens of thousands of people from all over the world. We will be shutting down Nemesis Downfall services going into next month. Thank you for being part of this chapter with us— and for all the great memories—it meant more than we can express. – The Nemesis Downfall Team

Dear Downfallers, We will be pausing automated in-game token rewards across all game modes effective immediately for the foreseeable future as we transition into tournament season. Over the past few weeks, we have noticed a rise in exploitative and malicious farming practices taking place in-game. A rewards pause will lend us the necessary space and time to implement systems that more effectively manage this behavior, leading to a better, more fair gaming experience for all. We will resume automated token rewards in early Q1 of next year to coincide with the launch of our node infrastructure.  For the next few months we will be scheduling weekly or bi-weekly community tournaments and competitions in an effort to bring the global Nemesis Downfall community together for a good time! In lieu of token rewards, tournament winners and runners up will receive rare (only one ever minted) NFT weapon skins. Each event will have its own NFT prize structure and the leaderboard will be reset between tournaments, so no two events will be the same in terms of finishing positions to win! Additionally, we will be running a gameplay footage/content competition in our discord, which will be announced early next week. Subsequent community content contests will follow. We will be announcing the first tournament next week as well, so stay tuned and get ready to rumble!  -The Nemesis Downfall Team
