Biggest crypto hack in history today on Binance and Bybit, $6 billion. One coin is unaffected (and unlisted on all those exchanges... and probably where those funds are headed)

BITCOIN FACES SELLING PRESSURE AS LONG-TERM HOLDERS SIT ON LOSSES Long-term Bitcoin holders own approximately 4 million BTC purchased between $85,000 and $118,000, according to Glassnode analysts. With Bitcoin trading near $80,000, more than half of long-term holders' coins were reportedly acquired above current prices. Glassnode warns that a recovery toward $85,000 could trigger selling from investors seeking to break even. Meanwhile, Bitcoin ETF demand has weakened, although losses realized during successive price declines have become smaller.

🚨 A MAJOR CREDIT CRISIS COULD BE BUILDING IN THE U.S. The riskiest U.S. corporate bonds are now yielding over 18%, their highest level since the pandemic. Just six months ago, these bonds were yielding around 13%. That means companies with the weakest finances are now facing borrowing costs that could make refinancing their debt extremely difficult. But what's more concerning is the growing gap between strong and weak companies. BBB-rated bonds are paying around 1.1% above U.S. Treasuries, while CCC-rated bonds are paying more than 13% above them. And the stress is already spreading through the loan market. According to JPMorgan: • $139.8 BILLION in risky corporate loans are trading below 80 cents on the dollar, up nearly 90% in a year. • $65 BILLION in loans are trading below 60 cents, up from $40 billion a year earlier and the highest since March 2020. • Technology companies account for 39% of all distressed loans, or roughly $54.4 BILLION. AI-related borrowing is also becoming a serious concern. CoreWeave, one of the biggest AI infrastructure companies, has seen some of its bond yields climb toward 15%. Its quarterly interest expenses have jumped from $267 million to $640 million in just one year. The company has roughly $50 billion in debt and financing commitments to support its expansion. Meanwhile, higher Treasury yields, persistent inflation and uncertainty surrounding the Iran war are making borrowing more expensive. The problem is that many heavily indebted companies need to refinance their existing loans at much higher interest rates. Some may not be able to afford it.

Bitcoin (-7.3%) and Gold (-7.5%) are the two worst performing major assets so far in 2026. This is something we haven't seen before in any calendar year.

Yet another example of why you should never use a node you don't trust. We are extremely selective about the default node + optional nodes in @cakewallet for just this reason, and I am fanatical about securing our infra to protect our users against things like this. I have never understood the Electrum Wallet approach of connecting to random servers on each start as it has led to many severe vulnerabilities being exploited there. That being said, this underlying vuln is a fascinating one (and much easier to exploit for an attacker than previously-known RBF bugs I've seen) and likely affects almost every Bitcoin wallet right now until patched, so stay safe and run your own node or use one from someone you trust. We'll have a patch for Cake Wallet out first thing this week to ensure that even if you opt to connect to malicious node this attack will not be possible.
ELECTRUM BITCOIN WALLET CONFIRMS CRITICAL SECURITY VULNERABILITY EXPLOITED IN THE WILD Electrum has disclosed a high-severity vulnerability allowing malicious servers to trick users into sending Bitcoin to an attacker when increasing a transaction fee. The attack works by intercepting a broadcast transaction and replacing it in the wallet’s history with a fake transaction redirecting funds to an attacker-controlled address. If the user attempts to increase the fee using Replace-by-Fee (RBF), Electrum can sign the malicious transaction, sending the Bitcoin to the attacker. Electrum confirmed two reported incidents, including one user who lost funds. Attackers even generated addresses matching the last four characters of the intended recipient’s address. The vulnerability affects versions before 4.8.3 and has been patched in the latest release. Users are urged to update immediately and verify all destination addresses and amounts before signing transactions.

Europe self-destructs because its bureaucrats refuse to correct their catastrophic mistakes on migration, energy and warmongering. They prefer to deflect and shift blame onto the US and Russia. As the European Revolution spreads, President Putin comments on the EU’s blame game.

#XMR dumping to 5$ wouldn’t change anything for me, my transactions are still private and no one is able to see that transaction, it’s worth more then money, my real #Monero exchange is actually: “stress (public coins)” for “peace of mind (Monero)”. I was never in it for money..

F@lse Fl@g cyber attack incoming so that they can bring the "solution" which will be a CBDC centralized programmable digital currency. It's so f*cking obvious, what do they think people are stupid? Crypto was meant to solve this by making these parasites obselete. End the fed. End the banks. Remove the middlement. Instead we got a bunch of fiat-maxis begging for regulation. No one should be keeping money in banks. Especially now. Not safe. Self custody your funds. Use Monero. Use no-Kyc off-ramps. For your own safety. Do you get it yet? Make your moves before these scumbags pull their next stunt.

Kraken: Asking How Funds Will Be Used After Leaving the Platform Is Unacceptable; XMR Will Remain Listed Kraken co-CEO Arjun Sethi said the platform was wrong to send emails to clients who bought and withdrew Monero (XMR) using their own money, asking for information about their employer, source of funds, and intended use of the coins. He said no rule required these inquiries, and someone had flagged a client simply for being young and having substantial funds. The requests have been withdrawn, and affected clients have been told they do not need to provide anything. Sethi said asking where funds came from is reasonable, but asking how they will be used after leaving the platform is unacceptable. Kraken has removed such questions and will keep XMR listed.

French political commentator posts XMR address after getting removed from patreon.
Thank you so much for all the messages I’ve been receiving about my Patreon suspension. 🙏🏻 It’s so frustrating to have to start from scratch every time. My determination always takes a hit, but you all do so much to help me keep going. I can’t reply to everyone, but your messages really do help. While I look for an alternative platform for my regular subscribers who would like to keep supporting me, It was suggested to me that I set up a Monero wallet so that anyone who wishes can make a completely anonymous and untraceable donation. Here is the full wallet address you can use: 47vYtX6NLYCPzJWoTMPzk4FqZ2gZhmr4DUtCSTMGWvw7FGxLFZ7swSvHocfMLE5FzphE8gJ9xySkjSwid78XnFyaG8GAZSV Thank you to everyone supporting me, whether by sharing, commenting, or donating ❤️🇫🇷
