The U.S. Senate just voted down the Crypto Clarity Act, falling short of the 60 votes needed to advance the market structure bill, despite months of bipartisan negotiation.
Canada already has a market structure framework for crypto trading platforms in place, through provincial securities regulators, something the U.S. is still trying to legislate.
