Heyyyy, did my first Home Lab.
-Set up ROAS, with dot1q subinterfaces.
-Configured and named vlans on the switch.
-Configured the trunk link and set up the native vlan.
-didn't have devices to connect to but I've done that in packet tracer numerous times.
Next.
CCNA update: Got tired of reading and doing packet tracer lab. I factory reset my switch over a week ago. Firing up my Cisco router, connecting the two devices and will be labbing with some assistance from Perplexity.
Haven’t messed with my switch too much. Had to perform a good ol’ factory reset. It’s reading my NIM.
Back to studying. Firing up the Router tomorrow.
Late night CCNA packet tracer labbing. Lock in 🔒
My Cisco Catalyst 3850 didn’t come with a blank face plate or a Network Module so I went ahead and ordered one. Hot install ✅ just need to confirm it’s detected.
Router came in as I was leaving for work today. This will handle most of the labs I need for the CCNA.
Now I want:
-standing server rack
-WAP
-Layer 2 switch
But I got my hands full in the meantime.
New toy arrived while I was at work yesterday. Catalyst 3850 Managed Switch. My integrated service Router coming today. Home Lab about to kick off.
