The @Knoblich_lab is back with another interesting #organoid study! 😃
The team, led by @catarinacsmc, showed that exposure to Matrigel at early neuroepithelial stages causes rapid tissue polarization and rearrangement of neuroepithelial architecture.

Are specific cell types or processes during brain development more vulnerable in autism? We explore this using a single-cell functional genomics approach in brain organoids. Excited to share our latest findings, and thanks for this wonderful collaboration @josch_f @TreutleinLab!
We are thrilled to share our latest work, a collaborative effort with @TreutleinLab, in Nature (nature.com/articles/s41586-0…). We introduce CHOOSE, a powerful screening system within cerebral organoids, through which we identified developmental defects associated with autism.
