Long tedious ramble about my thoughts on AI,🧵:
Markets are not a scientific measurement of the economy. They are arguably a worse predictor for the economy than using a groundhog to predict the weather. The groundhog doesn't spook as much.

Pat yourself on the back then.
You're part of the people who just wiped $2 TRILLION out of our economy IN A SINGLE DAY. You think THIS is going to fix the "affordability crisis"?
If you think prices will go down when the economy is battered this badly, you are mistaken.

Trump NOT president in 2016 --- Democrats lose
Trump president in 2020 --- Democrats WIN
Trump NOT president in 2024 --- Democrats lose AGAIN
Trump president in 2026 --- Democrats WIN
Conclusion: Trump rigs elections for Democrats

I have a plan to get Medicare for All passed.
1. Pass in House and Senate
2. Send Abdul to the Oval Office to meet with Trump
3. Trump examines his body and his ass and his biceps and falls completely in love with him
4. Abdul tells Trump if he signs the bill we can call it Trumpcare. Like Obamacare but better and he can take the credit for it. Statues built in his honor
5. Trump says okeyy Abdool I’ll do it hehe
The ancestral talking point for this was "we can't choose leftists because they can't get elected in swing states" and now we're at "we can't choose leftists because they will win but by a smaller margin" Nobody votes because they're a fan of big margins! Stop being disingenuous!

I am glad Abdul won but Talarico and cooper outperformed him in more conservative states. And Abdul won in part because Slotkin, Whitmer and kind of the normies - Obama - campaigned for him. These are facts. This was a normie election. But I am very very glad he won

Democrats did not sound like this before Bernie Sanders ran for president and anyone pretending otherwise is obviously full of shit
The Chud coalition is such a fascinating mix of kids going "we arent allowed to do anything and cant afford to do anything, because of woke" and boomers going "you shouldnt do anything and you better be able to afford to do nothing." Like two ships in the night.

Well we don’t think spending tax dollars so you can get shit bagged on a train is a good use of our money

I don’t want to hear any speeches about unity and working together. I want to hear how democrats are going to hold every last one of those freaks accountable for all the illegal shit they did.
This is like the opposite end of that family that tried to trans their kid. Their kid naturally transitioned and they went "you know what would be neat to try?"

Winning Michigan by seven is just a lot less impressive than winning NC by 20 or Ohio or Kansas (!) by 5 or Iowa and South Carolina by 4 or Texas (!) by 12 and you should not trust people who can’t acknowledge the plain truth about this.
He does look good compared to Flanagan!
If generative LLM slop disappeared completely tomorrow I could start un-learning the brain reflex that makes he scan a piece of art for AI tells and go back to just appreciating shit at first glance. And I'm one of the few who think it has a use in art!

Right on cue,the Lets Not Hold Republicans Accountable Parade
Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

So the results are all in. Data center moratoria (various flavors) went 43-1.
All hyperscalers must now converge on Harwood, North Dakota, the one outlier. Find out what's in the water or in the air. There is only one precinct and 400 voters, but they alone sided with you!
