Thank you @Ali_Wyne! With data sovereignty rising around the world, US doesn’t want to hand countries like India a roadmap for blocking data flows to the US.
You'll invariably be much smarter after absorbing what @SammSacks has to say on a given topic.
I'd especially recommend section 2.2 of her testimony, "How to address cyber risk from China in a way that strengthens global U.S. technological leadership and competitiveness".
