Since Brexit people have said that immigration has killed wages and growth. The problem is nobody looked at the numbers.
@HM_Kucharski did just that and found out just how much it costed us.
I encourage everyone to read his @cambridgecircre research when it comes out tomorrow.
Migration is costing the average British worker over £1000 a year.
Pleased to discuss the results of my @cambridgecircre research with @Nigel_Farage, releasing tomorrow.

The Met Police weren’t "powerless" when they banned a UKIP march from Tower Hamlets.
The Hampshire Constabulary wasn’t "powerless" when they placed a section.34 over Gosport.
British police have the power but don’t apply it consistently. That’s two-tier policing.

A killshot to the left's "migration is good for the economy" argument from my friend @HM_Kucharski.
Migration is killing wages throughout Britain and policymakers need to acknowledge that legal migration (not just illegal) is terrible for the economy for the mostpart.
EXCLUSIVE:
New @cambridgecircre research by @HM_Kucharski reveals that migration costs British workers outside London over £1,000 each per year.

🚨 UNITE THREATENS TO CUT 30 PERCENT OF BRITISH FUEL SUPPLIES HEADING INTO WINTER!!!!
Take a look at the energy catastrophe waiting around the corner for British families.
Unite union has just warned it could severely disrupt thirty percent of the UK domestic oil and gas supply after North Sea offshore workers voted to strike.
This threat lands while pump prices are already soaring towards two pounds a litre and household energy bills are rising once again.
For years, Ed Miliband has waged war on North Sea energy under his reckless Net Zero agenda, leaving the country dangerously exposed to foreign energy markets.
Now, Labour's own union allies are threatening to choke off what little domestic production Britain has left, right as winter temperatures begin to bite.
When a government attacks domestic oil and gas while bowing to union barons, it leaves millions of citizens vulnerable to soaring prices and fuel shortages.
How are ordinary working class families supposed to afford heating their homes this winter when government policy actively sabotages British energy from every angle?
Even the green party now realise that without the reliable power nuclear energy provides, wind and solar would be totally unworkable!
The UK Greens now recognise nuclear as a "low-carbon electricity source", dropping opposition at their conference overnight.
Its time for the new leadership of the Australian Greens to support lifting Australia's nuclear power bans.

An incredibly comprehensive but depressing benefits database from @the_tpa this morning.
A £1.2bn benefit spend just in Newham
With the population as it is, around every 1 in 7 people I see around my new neighbourhood are claiming UC.
Over 1 in 20 are on PIP.
We stray further and further from the right to question the government every day.
🚨We are now in a place where a whole town gets locked down by the Government for a boat that has not arrived….
Gosport. Haslar Bridge shut. Coaches at Fort Blockhouse. Masks banned.
A dispersal order on the entire town until 7am Tuesday.
Anyone who wants to stand there is sent to a car park. If not you’re threatened with arrest..
The boat is still in French waters.
The government will not even say this is the landing. Last time, they took the people to Dover.
In Kemi's "comprehensive hundred page document", there's not a single reference to the triple lock, and only four references to young people.
I'm sure there's much in here to be hopeful about but she could've at least mentioned the word NEET once!

Why Net Zero will drive up electricity bills ever further over next 5 years
Subsidies and system costs will double to £40 bn per year
Within this, System costs will treble from £8 bn now to £25 bn
So much for renewables being cheaper…..
Climate change is an issue worthy of government legislation, but treating arbitrary Net Zero targets and the politics of scarcity as the default has not made us "global climate leaders".
There is a better path, and that's what Professor Helm is calling for here.
"Climate change is global, and we should focus on where we can make the most difference. So far, Britain’s main contribution has been to demonstrate to the world how not to do it."

Letting security guards use reasonable force when someone steals is an obvious law change.
It's protecting private property in exactly the same way that bouncers are allowed to escourt you off the premises if you don't play by a venue's rules.
Broken Britain can't continue.
We've got to build the right economy to hire young people.
At university, I was told to think about signing on to benefits AS SOON AS I GRADUATED.
Britain needs a rethink of how we getting young people into work. That starts with scrapping unnecessary and harmful legislation.
'If you don't create the right fiscal environment for people to get jobs, you're not going to get growth.'
@NanaAkua1 and Ted Newson of Young Voices UK debate how far young unemployed people should be helped by the state with welfare.
The new energy price cap is here and its bad news for billpayers.
On average you'll now be paying over £1,700 a year (with a 16% rise again in January!)
Iran and gas prices are partly to blame, but bigger than that is the impact ideological Net Zero policies have had on prices.
The BBC has just released a BOMBSHELL interview with the CEO of energy provider EDF.
Among other things, he called the UK's energy policy "ideologically driven", and that "we are probably walking into another significant energy crisis," just four years after the last one. 🧵
Was Ed Miliband's promise of £300 off bills always going to be wrong?
"I don't know. Maybe."
Bills, Rossi says, will stay stubbornly high until 2030.
The verdict is clear. Electrifying the economy is a good way to decarbonise, but making electricity supply unreliable or expensive is not how we set a good example.
Clean Power 2030 puts the whole economy at risk.
