Exclusive: While the Cowboys’ locker room chaotically moved around him last night after the win, CB Joey Porter Jr. sat still at his locker staring out into the fray.
For once, it was a time for him to just take in the moment.
“It’s just so unreal, so surreal. I can’t even really explain it. Sometimes it’s hard for me to be in the moment and realize what’s all going on because everything is moving so fast. I’m happy where I’m at. I’m happy where this team is headed.”

Texas coaching icon Freddie James, has died at 89.
His 1988 Carter team, despite being stripped of its title, is considered by many to be the greatest Texas high school football team of all-time.

The Cowboys have opened the practice window for DT Jonathan Bullard. Last week it was Marist Liufau and PJ Locke. They have 52 players on roster at moment with Locke a possibility of getting activated off IR this week.
Not only has CeeDee Lamb been playing some of his best ball lately, he’s probably as confident as we’ve seen him too

The Houston Texans have claimed RB Emari Demercado off waivers after Dallas released him. He will be placed on their active roster.
A light walkthrough this afternoon for the Cowboys coming off Monday night's game. Tomorrow and Friday will see the full workload back in the mix.

The Dallas Cowboys have waived RB Emari Demercado for a second time this season, leaving one roster spot open. They have multiple guys eligible to return off IR this week.

No way around that Joe Buck & ESPN's hands are bloody with the breakup of one of the best broadcasting tandems in sports as Troy Aikman's time there is short.
Watching a MNF game now is awkward because all of us know we're watching a divorce in real time.

Among all NFL defensive interior linemen with over 100 snaps played against the run, Cowboys DT Otito Ogbonnia has the highest run-stop rate (13.0%).
Cowboys CB defensive snap count vs. Eagles:
DaRon Bland - 58
Caleb Downs - 56 (49 at nickel, 7 at safety)
Joey Porter Jr. - 51
Cobie Durant - 24
Shavon Revel Jr. - 8
I’d imagine the rotation to look like this when everyone is fully healthy.
Next morning thoughts:
The Cowboys did what they were supposed to do. And yes, that’s more than what could be said in the last few weeks, but it’s a step in the right direction to at least handle business.
The story of Monday night will be told in how Dallas follows this up. Is another letdown coming, or is this the first of a few stacked wins?
I thought Troy’s thoughts here were strong ⬇️
