Here's one of my first reports on the iPhone. July 2, 2007. Was working for CNET in NYC at the time and I would appear as a guest on various TV segments to discuss technology.

I liked it less by the end of my two-ish weeks with it, not more. At the beginning there was novelty.
I’m not at all surprised that others really like the device. I find it hard to believe anyone really likes the front-screen experience.
This is why I returned my iPhone Duo today. Too many compromises and “do this to fix it’s” – at Columbus, OH
Safari on the folded iPhone Duo is so much better with these three simple tweaks:
🔤 Reduce text size to 90%
🔎 Set website zoom to 75%
⬆️ Move the address bar to the top
This makes a lot of websites switch to their wider, desktop-style layouts, taking much better advantage of the screen.
It genuinely makes browsing feel more like using a tiny computer than a phone.
My little pocket computer.
In June this year I decided to go to rehab; today marks 4 months sober. Just as important I also accepted a job today! Cheers jkjk – at Columbus, OH
