Ok, have major questions @MaxPreps. I'll never get the midweek movement, but pls explain how a 9-0 Columbia with a 42.3 strength of schedule and a 9-0 Raines with a 40.8 SOS is ranked behind teams with fewer wins and a worse SOS

Nick Wilson and I voice our frustration with the MaxPreps' football rankings Example ... Team A has 6 wins (2 vs. teams in top 150), SOS of 40.5 Team B has 3 wins (0 against teams in top 250), SOS of 40.1 Team B is ranked much higher than Team A palmbeachpost.com/videos/spo…

Week 11 Real or Not Real Does Carrollwood Day have a direct path to the Open Division? Is IMG's schedule worthy of a national title? Is a long layoff good for playoff teams? @NickWilsonUSAT @IMGAFootball @Andy_Villamarzo @LawrenceBl83397 @CDS_FBall heraldtribune.com/videos/spo…

The Open Division panel adds a new team heading into Week 11 ... and it's someone you're probably not expecting @Andy_Villamarzo @NickWilsonUSAT @LawrenceBl83397 @polk_way @DanLaForestFB @CoachQ954 @CFreemanJAX @maffsports @zachallen0 @ChrisAVinel palmbeachpost.com/videos/spo…

Team X has a losing record. None of their wins have come against a team with a winning record. None of their wins have come against a team ranked in the top 250. Team X is ranked in the top 100 in Florida by MaxPreps and is currently scheduled to host in the 1st round.

Mike Locksley is out at Maryland, which means the football coaching carousel and recruiting carousel are starting up. Maryland has 3 recruits from Florida, including Columbia standout WR Kyren Caldwell @NickWilsonUSAT

Updated Open Division: Aquinas, Columbus, West Boca, Chaminade, Miami Central, TFA, Armwood, Raines Venice is the first team out Columbia drops after beating Ed White by 20 with a running clock (worth noting that Raines beat Ed White by 9) @NickWilsonUSAT @CFreemanJAX @maffsports

How much will Week 9's top games (Miami Central at Columbus, West Boca at The First Academy, Columbia at Ed White, True North at American Heritage) matter in the MaxPreps rankings? @NickWilsonUSAT @Noah_ram1 @CFreemanJAX @maffsports @CoachQ954 palmbeachpost.com/videos/spo…

Here's an updated look at the FHSAA football playoff bracket heading into Week 9 Notes: Palmetto leads its district in the standings but is No. 3 in the rankings. Jones is still the No. 1 seed in its region after Lake Wales won the district title. palmbeachpost.com/story/spor…
