Growing up it was so common for people to speculate or talk about the future with unbridled enthusiasm, I haven't heard anybody talk about the future in a long time.
The 2020's is a culturally and spiritually barren place.
The past 6 years must have been hell for the youth with uncertainty and having any sort of hope for a better world. Locked down in prime social years, fears of AI replacing social mobility and job access, camera's everywhere to record you, real life streaming of the horrors of modern war in Ukraine, massive inflation and cost of living increase, entertainment becoming another lecture instead of escapism.
I think the most disheartening thing about being a small fry right now and having a small or no audience is that you are literally just creating for the AI to take your stuff.

Certainly a genetic component to it yes but Christian morality seeped into western world, the idea that we are working towards something and ultimate goal of progress replaced the idea of heaven as people became more atheistic and materialistic. Replacing God with scientism. AI is a manifesting God for the scientist crew who believes in his heart that he is doing good for humanity by contributing a small piece of progress, hoping to become a canonized saint, (BTW why the math nerds are freaking out so much.)
I personally just dislike this and think we are going down the wrong road, not because it will literally kills us but kill everything that makes us human. I want to live life as a human. I do not care for progress and the vague ideas of utopias. I want to live as a human. I want to be human. I want to enjoy the fruits of other humans. I want to have the pleasures and the drudgery that entails. That is why I am retardmaxxing.
