I’m going to give you a 19th/20th Century Turkish word that must be considered by all leaders (#prententious, or not): *adamsendecilik* ‘being messed about in a pointless way by someone in authority to the point at which you need help’ - that’s what’s got to stop at every level.

“Shut your mouth... Cause you don't know what religion the boss of the record company is.” Welcome to Irelands media class in 2026. The worst part is, this won't even be controversial here.
You will NEVER hear Louis Walsh, Bono, Westlife or any of these so called 'stars' call out mass immigration into IRELAND...two-faced sickeners

In 2015, the UK introduced the 5p charge for plastic carrier bags. Minimum wage was £6.70 an hour, meaning you could buy 134 bags with an hour's work. Fast forward to 2026. Minimum wage has increased to £12.71, but carrier bags now cost around 40p each. That same hour of work now gets you just 31 bags. So the price of carrier bags has gone up 700%, while wages have only increased by 89%. If minimum wage had kept up with the price of plastic bags, we'd now be earning £53.60 an hour. Even plastic carrier bags are outperforming wages in this country. We're getting robbed.

I want to share some of what I have personally experienced in the past few weeks because I believe others who speak out against the Islamic regime in Iran need to understand how these operations work. I am an American-Israeli journalist covering Iran, and I have been repeatedly targeted by sophisticated cyberattacks, attempted espionage, and coordinated online harassment campaigns. Several months ago, the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence publicly designated me an enemy of the regime, placing me second on a list of individuals it considers particularly hostile. In recent weeks, the targeting has escalated significantly. Here is what has been happening: 1. Google has repeatedly warned me that government-backed attackers are targeting my accounts. I have received multiple official Google security warnings involving more than one of my accounts. These are not the first warnings: Google also notified me of government-backed attempts to compromise my accounts in 2024. 2. Someone hacked the X account of an academic I personally know, and used it to lure me into a phishing operation. On September 30, I received a message from the account of Daniel Pipes, an academic I know personally, inviting me to discuss a new project. A woman posing as his assistant subsequently contacted me through email and WhatsApp, arranged a meeting, and sent what appeared to be a Google Meet invitation. When I clicked the link, I was redirected to a suspicious website asking me to sign into my Google account. I refused to enter my credentials. The supposed assistant insisted that the website was their internal server and that it was safe. I refused again. I later contacted the real Daniel Pipes, who confirmed that his account had been compromised and that he had never sent me those messages. 3. Last week, I was targeted with a remote-access Trojan disguised as a copyright infringement lawsuit. An email accusing me of copyright violations on social media directed me to download a file supposedly related to legal proceedings. I suspected it was malicious and did not download it. Examination of the file in an isolated sandbox environment identified what appeared to be Parallax RAT, malware capable of providing attackers with remote access to an infected computer. 4. I have also been subjected to coordinated online character assassination and disinformation campaigns, including activity linked to the IRGC. These campaigns have involved vicious sexist attacks against me, racist attacks against my partner, and the deliberate circulation of false allegations about my political positions and activities. Among the fabrications are claims that I supposedly “vote for Arab parties” in Israel, alongside other invented narratives intended to discredit me and drive wedges between Iranians and Israelis. My message to other journalists, dissidents, activists, and anyone speaking out against the Islamic Republic is simple: take these threats seriously. The people targeting you may not appear as strangers. They may impersonate your friends, colleagues, professional contacts, or legitimate institutions. Their attacks may unfold over days or weeks and involve multiple platforms to establish credibility. Verify unusual requests, even when they appear to come from someone you know. Protect your accounts and be extremely cautious with unfamiliar links and attachments. Cc: @israelpolice

This exact thing happened to me on a flight home from Bosnia in 1996. Soldiers were told to travel in uniform so that the public could see them and be more aware of what we were involved with. A nice older lady asked me on the plane “Excuse me. Are you coming back from the Gulf?” “No Ma’am. I’m coming back from Bosnia.” “We still have people there?” It had only been 9 months since the entire Dayton Accords cease fire mission had started. Arriving in San Francisco, while walking down a corridor to wait for a friend to pick me up, a completely random guy called me a baby killer. We had just stopped a genocide / ethnic cleansing… I went in the airport bar and ordered a drink. When I went to pay for it, I was told it had already been paid for, by a gentleman I had noticed earlier and gave a head nod to when I came in. He was a Vietnam Vet… I learned several lessons that day that stayed with me for the rest of my life.
I was home on leave from Afghanistan in 2013 and bumped into someone I had gone to school with. They asked me where I had been. When I told them, “Afghanistan,” their response was: Oh, that’s still going on? I had no idea That’s stuck with me for years. I was trying to stay alive and they were at the mall. Service members have re-assimilate quickly when they get home. It’s not a choice.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic helicopter crash and extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. Condividiamo il vostro dolore.
Deeply saddened by today's crash of an 🇮🇹 Army CH-47 helicopter engaged in the EU operation ALTHEA @euforbih near Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦. On behalf of the NATO Military Committee and myself, our thoughts are with the crew and everyone on board, with their families living hours of anguish, and with their comrades, awaiting for more news. I have sent a message to General Luciano Portolano to express our closeness to him and to the Italian Armed Forces at this painful time. These men and women serve peace and stability in a region to which Allies and partners have committed decades of effort. As an Italian, I feel this tragedy all the more deeply.

My MP. I don’t like him much but this is an absurd spectacle. He is being made to publicly apologise for trivial social mistakes. Large parts of our ruling class view themselves as primary school teachers overseeing a group of 8 year olds.
Vile scenes from the Commons Chamber as the monster that is Tony Vaughan (a labour MP of course) admits the utterly disgusting things he has done. ** Viewer Discretion Advised**

The Harvard professor who debated Hillel Neuer on whether the UN treats Israel equally asked that no clips be shared. So Hillel respected that. He posted all 58 minutes instead. When your side of a debate only wins if nobody sees it, you already lost the debate.
Here — I am posting my entire Harvard debate, on whether the U.N. treats Israel equally. I decided to ask Harvard University why they repeatedly host and support U.N. rapporteurs who justify terrorism, including Francesca Albanese, Tlaleng Mofokeng, and Michael Fakhri.

I'm not just sad @SirPatStew is gone I'm properly upset. I spent 6 years living in a shitty country (Ireland) where my family experienced constant abuse & the day after we moved back to England I discovered there was a new Star Trek show with a picture of the then new Enterprise and it's new Captain Jean Luc Picard. I can't tell you how happy that news, on that special day, made me feel. So thanks for everything Patrick, you really did bring a ray of sunshine into my life. Years later I got to meet the great man (in 2005 I think) while queuing in the @coffeealgerian in Soho. He was ahead of me in the queue and was trying and failing to explain which coffee maker he had to the shopkeeper, so he could prepare the beans properly for his style of coffee maker. I piped up ssying "I think he has a french press" and mimicked the action of pushing down the plunger in that style of coffee maker. "Yes yes, exactly that" he said, turning back to the shopkeeper "what he said!". So we waited chatting about our mutual love of coffee for a minute or two while his coffee beans were being prepared and he even ordered a small amount of the coffee I recommended to him (Velluto Nero) with a warning from me it was extremely strong and probably only safe for drinking in the morning. When he took his bag of alsorted coffee he raised the bag in salute to me and said "morning it is then" and parted with a warm smile. I never got to thank him for all his work, or what it meant to me, or that I was going to see him with Joshua Jackson only a week or so later in a play by David Mamet. Still, I got to do a small kindness for him in return. What a gent. – at London, England

Der Spiegel has revealed that Elif Eralp, the Left's candidate to lead Berlin, privately admitted she fears for herself and her family because of Hamas sympathisers circling her own party. No woman should be threatened into silence, and Eralp deserves safety. But look at what her fear exposes. The Islamo-Left has made room for men who hail Yahya Sinwar, architect of the 7 October massacre, as a hero. That massacre included sexual violence against women that this movement still refuses to name. The red-green alliance calls itself progressive, feminist, and anti-fascist. In reality it is a Trojan horse for misogyny, violence and fascism. Women pay first: Israeli women, Palestinian women living under Hamas, and now a woman at the top of a European capital's politics, too frightened to say a man's name. Russia became the worlds largest country by peacefully erasing the culture of newly occupied lands by means of mass murder and then repopulating the area with russians so we can then claim it is "historical russian land"

A 14YO boy lay in wait to attack a 14YO girl - where he stabbed her TEN times - and stabbed a shopkeeper. A judge panders to him in court, calling him a "bright boy" and "prison is no place for him" and let's him walk free. Police say it was a miracle the girl survived. She suffers nightmares and ongoing trauma that will affect her for the rest of her life. Her family left distraught. A public outraged - moved in their droves to challenge it. Yet nothing will be done. This boy learns he can commit the most horrific, violent attacks and be greeted with nothing but softly spoken words and a smile. The girl learns her life, her safety, her future does not matter. This country is a disgrace. A shameful, catastrophic hellhole of injustice with a legal system that cares only for horrific offenders and NO regard whatsoever for the trail of destroyed lives they leave behind. I absolutely despair. Thank you to everyone who challenged it. They gave us hope justice could prevail by including it on the website - but had no intention of following it through - which somehow makes it even worse. 😞
🙏Thank you so much to everyone who sent in an unduly lenient sentence request and/or shared this post. This outrageous sentence is now being considered for review. I hope this girl knows that she matters. I hope she knows we are rooting for her. I hope she knows we will not accept it. And I hope the Attorney General does the right thing and changes this sentence to one that truly reflects the gravity of what this boy did. Thank you again everyone 💜🥹
