The Left loves migrants … until we refuse to think the way they expect us to. Then suddenly my Romanian roots or Zia Yusuf’s Sri Lankan heritage, become fair game. That’s the hypocrisy: if the Right did it, they’d call it racism. When they do it to migrants on the Right, apparently it’s acceptable. You don’t get to preach tolerance while practising the prejudice you claim to despise. I called it out on @Iromg this morning👇

Two weeks ago, at the Ceremonial Opening of the Seventh Senedd, I had the privilege of meeting Her Majesty The Queen 👑 The Llywydd spoke that day about the different lives and experiences Members bring with them to the Senedd. My conversation with Her Majesty rather wonderfully reflected that. She was interested in the road that brought me here: from policing in Romania and deployment in post-civil war North Macedonia, through my less-spoken-about time working in national security at the Foreign Office, to campaigning for women’s rights and, eventually, being elected to represent Fflint Wrecsam. Royal conversations are rightly private, so Her Majesty’s words will remain exactly that. But sometimes a photograph says enough. The warmth of her smile, that firm handshake and this moment will stay with me for a very long time. 👑🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I voted for Brexit for exactly this👇 And I’d do it again tomorrow. To take back control of our borders. To decide who stays in our country. To cut welfare dependency, cut taxes and build a dynamic economy, not follow the EU down the path of stagnation. The Tories squandered that opportunity. Labour would take us backwards. Now Reform will prove we can deliver it. We will finish the job. That’s what we’re here for 🇬🇧

How very revealing. A Labour spin doctor reaching for Zia Yusuf’s Sri Lankan heritage as the punchline because he doesn’t like his politics. I recognise the tactic. The same “tolerant” Left regularly reaches for my Romanian roots the moment I say something they dislike. Apparently diversity is wonderful, provided migrants know their place politically. A migrant who refuses the victimhood narrative, opposes mass immigration or votes Right? Suddenly their heritage becomes fair game. Nothing exposes the hypocrisy quite like a migrant who thinks for themselves.

A daughter of Britain who gave her heart to Romania 🇷🇴🇬🇧 Born in Kent, granddaughter of Queen Victoria, Queen Marie became one of Romania’s greatest Queens - the Soldier Queen who stood beside her people in war and carried Romania’s cause onto the world stage. Her links with Britain and with Wales ran deep. In 1925 she came to North Wales for the National Eisteddfod at Pwllheli, where she wore the bardic robes and was honoured as “Marie Gwalia” - Mary of Wales. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇷🇴 British by birth, Romanian by destiny and with a special place in Welsh history too. 150 years after her birth, as a Romanian who has made Britain and North Wales my home, her story has a very special resonance for me. “ADHD denialism”? 😂 Show me where I denied ADHD exists. Quote me. I’ll wait. I mocked the ever-expanding entitlement to public concessions. You responded by inventing an argument I never made, because apparently rebutting the one I actually made was too difficult. So here’s the challenge: quote the “denialism” verbatim, or admit you made it up. Should be easy if it’s as “flat out” as you claim.

Any discount for freckles, or have they not been medicalised yet?

“Shoved out of the way”, “sent flying”, “left shaken”. Then the footage emerges. She walks alongside Farage, appears entirely composed and ultimately gets in front of him. No “flying”. No visible aftermath of the dramatic encounter now being described. Either there is footage we haven’t seen, or someone has taken a very ordinary jostle for position and turned it into political fan fiction. The Lib Dems should produce the evidence, because this clip certainly doesn’t!

You know we’re in serious trouble when the separatists are reduced to spinning a Labour-funded £100 payment as a Plaid Cymru triumph. Labour announces £100 for households in England and provides Wales with the Barnett funding to offer equivalent support. Plaid’s contribution? Choosing to use that money to mirror Labour’s £100 scheme in Wales, then sticking a green tick on it and announcing: “Plaid is acting!” 😂 Even Community Notes had to add the rather important bit they left out. Who’s doing your comms - Pinocchio?
