We debuted a new look on this Halloween weekend to kick off the show
And then we followed it up with a more positive “moral victories” episode?
Plus thoughts on what’s coming soon for the Winnipeg Jets

Lost in this was the note that they are “exploring the market for a top 6 Winger”
But I thought they just acquired one for Hellebuyck 🫣😶

Them and NJ back in 2023
Them and NJ main players in 2026
It was always a matter of time.
Elliotte Friedman: It’s been widely reported that #SabreHood and #GoJetsGo were deep in Hellebuyck discussions at the draft, but someone told me last weekend that wasn’t the first time the Jets and Sabres discussed him. In the summer of 2023, before the goalie signed his long-term extension in Manitoba, the two teams took a looooooooooong look at it. Person wouldn’t say why it fell apart. - 10/30 #NHL #LetsGoBuffalo
Looking ahead, would guess Arniel is mercy canned before Nov. 5 home game vs VAN.
This road trips going to see another 2, likely 3 losses and it’s unavoidable at this rate
New coach comes in in front of an anxious and upset crowd against, what should be, a soft landing vs VAN, multiple days between games after that VAN game to change things
Expected by whom?
Realists.
Kick the feet up, find the positives to lean on, laugh at the misery and get ready for a new era. It’s unavoidable. It’s been unavoidable.
And it’ll be okay!

We’ve come full circle, welcome back Atlanta Thrashers era of the Winnipeg Jets
In which Nino is a trade candidate. lol

How about now?
Despite Connor Hellebuyck requesting a trade, Kyle Connor still has plenty of belief in the Winnipeg Jets 👀
Connor views last season as a one-off and reaffirmed his loyalty to the team, saying there’s no other city or group of guys he’d rather battle for a cup with 👏 (h/t @ICdave)
Since Mark Chipman told Elliotte Friedman Kevin Cheveldayoff will outlive him in the organization:
39-41-15 record
Lost Nik Ehlers for free
Watched the Franchise Cornerstone force his way out
Watched him fail to build quality depth, arguably the easiest things in the league to find
I’m beginning to think the big wigs don’t have much foresight, despite how predictable this all was

And every informed voice on Twitter predicted it. Why is Chevy worse at his jobs than randos with day jobs?

Jack St. Ivany (0-4—4 in 2 GP) became the first player in @Capitals history to record multiple assists in each of his first two games with the team.
