The UK Metropolitan Police are officially in panic mode after admitting they told Meghan Markle to hide child abuse claims to "protect an investigation" that they never actually started. The Met Police just referred themselves to a major police watchdog over their catastrophic failure to handle the 2019 warning letter about Thomas Markle Sr. They handed the file to Meghan for "personal awareness" but explicitly ordered her to keep quiet, claiming public disclosure would prejudice a potential future case. But while they silenced Meghan, they completely failed to notify international authorities or the FBI. It took his own son finding boxes of thousands of child abuse images in a house in the Philippines for the truth to finally explode. The establishment protected him while letting Meghan take the blame.

Ryan Bridge has been detained and placed under house arrest in Somalia. His mate Billy Allison from Raise the Colours is on trial for murder. Ay Audits and his mates are banged up in France. Tommy Robinson has been found guilty. Joey Barton and Danny Tommo are on remand. James English is on bail awaiting sentencing, and Russell Brand is on trial. What a year for the far right.

Greens in complete crisis now. Shedding members and splitting from English party would look like a disaster
🟢Scoop: Welsh Green Party members will vote on whether to split from the national party at their annual conference next month. A motion seen by the New Statesman calls to make Wales Green Party independent of the Green Party of England and Wales by 2034. Independence for the Welsh Greens has been discussed by members for a while, and was previously backed by Zack Polanski himself. The Scottish Greens split from the Green Party in 1990. The motion states: “We must stop thinking of ourselves as the second party in this relationship… we are our own party”. Earlier this year, a senior Welsh Green source told me that independence from the national party was "not only desirable but inevitable". This comes after former deputy leader of the Welsh Greens, Phil Davies, quit the party saying he did not feel his role was treated with "enough respect" and citing the zionism is racism motion. Zack Polanski rejuvenated the Green Party by reinventing the party's lacklustre media presence and connecting with voters. Zack Polanski destroyed the Green Party by encouraging in a bunch of hard-left activists with extreme and unpopular views. Both these things are true. – at Higher Penwortham, England

They get away with it. This sanctioned bullying behaviour is allowed across all sections of the party and at the highest levels. The next cases will open this culture up to full view @GWDeclaration @EmmaBatemanGPW @RosieDuffield1 @HarrietLamb_

Having read today’s Daily Mail, the most awful revelations around Meghan’s father, I am with Richard Kay here: She now emerges as truly heroic, brave and worthy of all our compassion and affection.

EXC: The Green Party’s membership has dropped by 18,000 since May, internal figures leaked to me show. That’s a drop of 8%, with every 1% loss of members resulting in an annual income loss of £110k, party officials estimate. It means spending adjustments will be required in the 2027 draft budget. A party source blamed the Zionism is Racism motion for ‘undeniably alienating people’. Hw figures opposed to the motion have expressed reluctance to form their own group to counter the influence of Greens 4 Palestine, believing the appearance of factionalism will create further division and put off voters. A snapshot of growing Green divisions. Some councillors are forthright critics of the Zionism motion. A few have left the party (good for them). Others are diehards. Here is a good example from Havant. The antisemitism charge is "totally unfounded and seeks to conflate criticism of Israel and/or Zionism with antisemitism". Where the mere "criticism" is a call for the destruction of Israel, with backing for terrorists, and the vast majority of British Jews are branded "racist" only because they believe Israel should exist. Keep digging, diehards. Show the country just what you are and what your party has become. lgcplus.com/politics/at-leas…

See @thegreenparty method of complaint management. 1. Ignore for months/ years and/or 2. Expel the complainant and shield the officer/staffer from investigation. 3. Repeat across all party processes- policy protection, data mgt, corruption, whistleblowing @HarrietLamb_
🚨 NEW: “St Hilda’s College takes seriously the duty to protect and promote freedom of expression within the law.” The response three female former Oxford University students received - after complaining about male biochemistry lecturer Matt Rattley wearing large prosthetic breasts at work. “We urge you to take immediate action,” they wrote to the college’s principal, Dame Sarah Springman, in May, raising concerns about sexual harassment. A parent and a member of the public who separately raised concerns say they received no reply. Asked how the complaints were handled, both Oxford University and St Hilda’s said they had nothing further to add to their previous statements. I’ve published the correspondence and their responses in [Un]Captured. Link below 👇

🟢NEW: The Greens have set up a working group to look at the party's 'structures and processes' following the influx of new members and the 'Zionism is racism' fallout I understand party members have not yet been consulted - which has caused some unhappiness among the membership Sitting on the working group will be people selected from the Green Party executive - which includes Zack Polanski, Rachel Millward and Mothin Ali - as well other party staff. Party democracy and governance will be key to the debate - with a delegate system not ruled in or out at this stage. Any conclusions the group comes to will then be taken to conference for members to vote on Asked whether this was a direct response to the ZiR, a party spox insists it is not - and adds: "The party has long needed to consider how members can engage effectively, and with membership at a record level, that work is now a priority."

18 years ago Jay-Z became the first rapper to headline Glastonbury & trolled Oasis when they said rap had no place there. He came on stage playing their song Wonderwall & then flipped it into 99 Problems and destroyed the stage 😭
JAY-Z has four #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 - Umbrella (with Rihanna) - Empire State Of Mind (with Alicia Keys) - Crazy In Love (with Beyoncé) - Heartbreaker (with Mariah Carey)

Mr Polanski, I know you have a reputation for being scrupulous about checking your facts, but you’ve missed an important detail. My contract requires me to remain on leave from the Lords, surrender my parliamentary pass and forgo all access and voting rights for the duration of my employment at Palantir. I do not, therefore, take any whip. I fear this makes me rather less useful to the whips’ office than you imply.
It is beyond ridiculous that this man is still a life peer and retains the Labour whip.
