𝐀𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐗𝐮𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐨 𝐘𝐚𝐨𝐳𝐢 What would happen if the mythical beasts from Journey to the West and The Classic of Mountains and Seas suddenly found themselves in the modern world? Fabulous Beasts brings these ancient mythical creatures into everyday life, retelling Chinese mythology through lighthearted and humorous stories. Since its serialization began in 2017, the comic has won over countless readers both in China and abroad. In the interview, creator Xuexiamao Yaozi shares that an overseas reader once curiously asked: Why does the Pixiu only take things in and never let anything out? And that is not the only cultural detail hidden in the comic. Readers can also spot references to ancient Chinese artifacts, such as the Bronze Crane Standing on Deer Antlers from the Hubei Provincial Museum. While enjoying the stories and laughs, readers can also discover more about ancient Chinese artifacts and mythology, and experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture. #有兽焉 #FabulousBeasts #Manga #comic #animation
