WHO IS REALLY IN CHARGE OF OUR COUNTRY? They call it diversity. But diversity without responsibility, integration and mutual respect risks tearing apart the very society people are coming here to join. Our ancestors built this country through generations of hard work, sacrifice and taxes. We have a right to expect our government to protect our people, our heritage, our freedoms and our future. When did protecting our own citizens become something to be ashamed of? Britain has a proud tradition of hospitality, charity and tolerance. But hospitality must come with responsibilities. Anyone welcomed into this country should be expected to respect its laws, its people, its culture and its democratic values. Freedom of religion must be protected, but it must go hand in hand with respect for others. Serious criminality should carry serious consequences, including deportation where the law permits. Yet ordinary British people increasingly feel ignored, silenced and abandoned. They see politicians who appear more concerned with defending their policies than listening to legitimate public concerns. They worry about their safety, question decisions that affect their communities and wonder why speaking out can bring consequences while their fears go unanswered. A government that cannot listen to its own people has lost sight of whom it serves. Nobody should be above the law, but neither should peaceful protest, legitimate criticism or questioning those in power be treated as crimes in themselves. Our right to speak freely, demand answers and hold politicians accountable is fundamental to democracy. So let us ask the question that deserves a straight answer: WHO IS REALLY RUNNING THIS COUNTRY, AND WHOSE INTERESTS ARE THEY SERVING? We do not need conspiracy theories. We need transparency, accountability, fair laws and leaders with the courage to put the safety and wellbeing of the British public at the heart of every decision. We can be compassionate without being complacent. Welcoming without surrendering our values. Tolerant without abandoning our traditions. This is our home. Democracy means our voices matter. And no government should ever forget that it serves the people not the other way around.

Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth, 'Work like you don't need the money'

Shoulder and beef links are cooking slowly and the smell of mushing peas is tantalising my nostrils. Taking this opportunity to wish everyone a great Hogmanay and a beautiful New Year
