ALT Sometimes my mind feels like a garden, and I can no longer tell which parts I grew myself and which came from other people’s thoughts and stares. The flowers have eyes, as if even the things meant to be beautiful are watching me. And that hand is mine, trying to cut back and prune the endless thoughts growing inside me, even the ones that look beautiful.

ALT They tried to break her with their hands. Every touch was meant to control her, every grip to silence her, every finger a reminder that she belonged to someone else. But they made one mistake. She learned to keep what hurt her. One by one, the hands that once tried to destroy her became dark ornaments wrapped around her throat. Their eyes watched from the shadows, waiting for her to fall. She never did. Now, when someone reaches for her, she smiles. But some wounds don’t heal. They learn to hunger.
