Here's a free school lunch argument for the selfish:
1. Children who are hungry can't pay attention in class.
2. They do poorly in school.
3. They have fewer opportunities.
4. They may turn to crime.
5. You may be a victim of that crime.
Free school lunches means less crime.
"High unemployment is good, because eventually they'll be desperate enough to take the low paying jobs all the people we illegally deported used to do!"
After Rod Blagojevich was arrested on corruption charges, I told a lot of people that he was a terrible person and deserves to go to jail.
By JD Vance's logic, that means I turned Blago in to the police.
I get that this is just an anti-LGBTQ dogwhistle, but these guys understand that God doesn't have a physical form, and thus has no biological sex, right?
He honestly doesn't understand what Ken Paxton's complaint is. His world consists of only one value judgment: is it good for me, or bad for me?
The man who spends literally every day of his life self-promoting, thinks he's been too modest.
In answer to what a lot of people are thinking: Yes. He thinks they were assigned to do his bidding for life.
Trump says he regrets nominating Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett: “They voted against me too often ... I gave them the position of a lifetime, and they vote against me often.”

Ken Paxton is an objectively terrible candidate. You can tell the GOP knows this. You don't spend this kind of money on a Republican candidate in Texas unless he's basically Satan.
The new Texas PAC spent a staggering $131 million in just 17 days to boost Republican Ken Paxton in his battle for a U.S. Senate seat, new financial reports reveal. And tens of millions more could be on the way.

All this time, I thought that Eric Schmitt had been fed the Jack Smith texts by someone who didn't think to vet them first. Turns out, he asked for the texts, was warned that they hadn't been vetted, and decided to use them anyway.
I guess I have him too much credit.

I'm sorry, I can't get past those shoes. I do not think they go with that suit. Can anyone with more fashion sense than me weigh in? @dieworkwear?
Hegseth: We're now getting weapons faster than ever before. And for this reason and many more, it's imperative that Congress passed a $350 billion reconciliation package for our warriors. We must fund the future fight.
We have the most powerful and the most prepared military on the planet. Nobody can touch us. It's not even close. My job is to keep it that way
So, which is the lie? That they're a success, or a possible failure?
I'm guessing it's both.
Meta tells investors its AI is a tremendous success. It tells the IRS its data centers are an experiment that could fail.
Why? Only experiments qualify for this tax break. Meta is exploiting it, labeling its proven chips "research" to get a $4B tax break.
