Same game, same models, same browser: what I found testing Unity 6 against the GrowBlocks engine. 👇
Mount GROW went a bit crazy last 24hrs ⛏️
The mine in GrowBlocks City is supposed to have a daily limit, but the limit wasn't working, so a few of you just kept swinging the pickaxe. And I mean A LOT. poop mined 93,200 SEED, KUN 42,690, anon 40,699 and Memo 25,498.
We fixed it. Now the mine pays up to 300 SEED a day for everyone, and to keep it fair for all players, we took back what went over the limit.
But honestly, that was some crazy mining, so it deserved something special. These 4 get a prize nobody else will ever have:

Meet WARDEN, the new player character for COLOSSUS, our boss-raid game on GrowBlocks. Three.js, 144 fps. BOOM.
How it's made 👇
The model: Blender, written as code
No sculpting. A Python script builds it part by part:
• curved armor shells with cut corners
• raised "03" and squad decals
• a five-fingered hand on real finger joints
• a six-barrel cannon that actually spins
• a rocket pod, jump-jets, and a V visor
4.4 m tall, 333 parts, ~49k triangles. 39 armor plates can be shot off. Change a number, run the script, get a new mech.
The look: no textures
Chipped paint, dirt, and rain streaks are computed on the GPU. Plus contact shadows, bloom, film tone mapping, anti-aliasing and a color grade with grain. A LOW setting keeps phones smooth.
The movement: no animation files
Every step is computed live:
• feet plant and stay planted (leg IK)
• heel strike, roll to the toe, push off
• hips twist, drop and sway like a person's
• the head bobs and nods with each step
• every footfall sends weight through springs
• walk blends into run, with a moment in the air
It fires while running: the cannon stays locked forward while the legs keep going.
Coming to COLOSSUS next: cannon on the right arm, missiles on the left, third-person or cockpit view.

Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.
