In the first incident, a Hyundai Venue was caught travelling at 182km/h at approximately 06:30. The driver was arrested and detained at Bela-Bela SAPS. In the second incident, a Volkswagen Polo Vivo was detected travelling at 185km/h at around 08:30, also at Sondela. The driver was subsequently arrested and detained at Bela-Bela SAPS. The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety has expressed concern over the daily reports of motorists being arrested for reckless driving and excessive speeding on the N1. The department has urged motorists to obey the rules of the road, adhere to prescribed speed limits and prioritise road safety. #LimpopoChronicle
