Took a drive up to Arbroath this afternoon.
These ruins hold over 800 years of Scottish history. Built originally for King William the Lion in the late 1190s.
Arbroath has always held a special place in my heart as an Angus man, such an important place in Scotlands story.
I’d urge politicians like Lara Bird to visit these historic sites; it is her constituency, after all. Their political stances actively threaten not just the physical preservation of these landmarks, but the cultural lineages of the people who fought, defended, and lived in them.
