Since quitting league I’m in a relationship, make 300k a year, own a house, travel the world, have a kid and own 2 cars. Life is good all you bums still queuing up for ranked 😭😭😭
Here’s why you don’t understand. Hope this helps ❤️
I personally don’t understand the level of hate toward creators who promote Polymarket, so here are my honest thoughts.
Full transparency, Polymarket pays me to quote re tweet posts for them.
For the last 10 years on YouTube, I said no to EVERY deal I considered a “moral gray area" type deal, including dozens of big opportunities, both when I was dead broke and when I had plenty of money.
At the time, I told myself I was simply doing the right thing, but if I’m being honest with myself now, a lot of it was fear and ego disguised as morality. I liked believing I was morally better than the people who said yes, and I was afraid that accepting one of those deals would ruin my career or mean I had sold my soul, etc etc...
After 10 years of reflecting, I finally said yes this time and here's why.
The argument I keep seeing all over league twitter is that anyone who promotes Polymarket is personally responsible for an adult using the platform irresponsibly and ruining their life.
I completely disagree...
Obviously promotion has influence, that’s why companies pay for it. My posts will introduce people to Polymarket, and I accept responsibility for that influence.
What I reject is the leap from influence to being personally responsible for every decision another adult makes afterward.
We don’t say that every person who promotes an alcohol brand is personally responsible for every customer who later becomes an alcoholic. That doesn’t mean promoters have zero responsibility. It means that responsibility has limits.
My responsibility is to disclose that I’m being paid, never portray this as easy or guaranteed money. Never knowingly encourage minors or ineligible people to participate, and make it clear that adults CAN LOSE money and should only participate within their limits.
The adult on the other side is still responsible for the decisions they make.
I understand that some people believe promoting anything gambling related is morally wrong, period. If that’s your line, we’re probably not going to agree and I accept that.
But I’m not going to hide the relationship or pretend I’m ashamed of it. I’m going to be transparent, promote it responsibly, and continue working with Polymarket.
