The Cape Town International Airport situation is a stark reminder that policy decisions that do not consider the interests of the poor and working class will eventually be felt by the affluent and wealthy.

Brazen murder of a South African woman by an illegal immigrant masquerading as an asylum seeker. And no mass media is talking about it.
[BREAKING NEWS]
Undocumented Pakistani National Akilesh Gupta Arrested After Allegedly Running Over and Killing 53-Year-Old Policewoman Ennice Nortman at Lichtenburg Mall
Warrant Officer Ennice Nortman, 53, attached to North West Provincial Crime Intelligence in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District, died after being struck by a white SUV at Lichtenburg Mall along Dr Nelson Mandela Drive on Monday afternoon, 19 October 2026. Nortman was on duty when the incident occurred and was taken to hospital with serious injuries before dying later that evening.
The driver, 23-year-old undocumented Pakistani national Akilesh Gupta, was arrested following the incident. He appeared before the Lichtenburg Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 21 October, facing a murder charge, with further charges relating to an alleged contravention of immigration legislation also being investigated. He was remanded in custody until Tuesday, 27 October 2026.
CCTV footage circulating on social media appears to show Nortman walking towards a raised pedestrian crossing before the SUV accelerates and strikes her. The vehicle continues over a small island and collides with traffic cones and another vehicle. The driver then exits and begins walking away before being pursued. Police have urged the public not to share the footage, warning that it could compromise the investigation.
North West Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Arthur Peter Adams has expressed condolences following Nortman’s death, which comes after the separate fatal collision involving Constable Itumeleng Johannes Pule on 18 October. Gupta remains in custody, and the case is ongoing.

What annoys me about everything in the country, is what Prof Somadoda Fikeni said a few weeks bad.. that there’s a whole economy of incompetence that had been set up so that few benefit but the state is then largely rendered incompetent. Yhooo guys we cannot give up on the state

The Department of Home Affairs has withdrawn the directive to start the process of going through all asylum seeker applicants including illegal immigrants…
One of the reasons stated is that they are overwhelmed by the number of people who are applying… But everytime when we marched and I said it every single time that we have MILLIONS of Illegal immigrants living in the country, dozens of so called scholars said I’m making up the numbers, there aren’t that many ‼️‼️
So now do you guys understand what the purpose of education is? It’s not dismiss something because you think it’s unreal, it’s to determine if it exists and if it exists what are the pros and cons and then if there’s a problem determine what could be the solutions BEFORE it escalates!! So nobody is against education or educated people but if their education seeks to feed into already pre conceived or existing thoughts and ideas and doesn’t provide solutions, then what use is it???
We need to have PhD holders that can forsee such things and be able to make recommendations and a government that is willing to listen and implement with a clear sense of urgency‼️‼️

South Africa must take all the necessary steps to protect its sovereignty. The security of the country, the safety of citizens & the protection of our borders should be our number one priority under all circumstances. Our neighbours choices should not interfere with this priority.

I actually like the way he’s conceptualised grief. There was this other time he said something along the lines of his grief for his mother feeling like being able to always carry her with him. To always have her. Ugh ♥️

It takes a lot and a very long time to see yourself with your own eyes. It may in fact never happen. For the most part you are going to see yourself as you think you are being seen or as you want to be seen.
There’s no shame in that. It’s not your fault.

And when you pray tonight…pray for the ability to know which bridges not to burn. For as long as you live with other people, you are bound to disagree and have fallouts with them. Unfortunately some people cannot be replaced. Don’t let anger cloud your judgement.

Give it time, it’s amazing what time can do. One day, you will be okay. You will fully accept the things that haven’t worked out for you, you will laugh again till your belly hurts, you will close the door to the things that deplete your soul. But for now? Just give it time. 🤍🌸
