Well, no surprise there. A government committed to weapons of mass murder will want to maintain and develop the nuclear skills base.
Following yesterday’s debate in Parliament, I’ve written in @TheScotsman on why it’s time for the SNP to modernise their stance on nuclear energy.
Their ban is not in Scotland’s interests. We stand ready to work with Scottish Govt to bring new jobs and investment to Scotland.

Frankly, there is some deeply disturbing rhetoric coming out of British top brass this week about 'consenting to sacrifices' and 'take the fight to the enemy'.
It seems they are moving to take control of the political 'conversation' on our security, and that is not a good thing.

Nuclear weapons remain amongst the foremost threats to humanity, according to the Lancet's recent report on global risks.
Despite a reduction in global stockpiles since the Cold War, there are STILL more than enough nuclear weapons to end humanity by triggering nuclear winter.
