Reasons I don't think we should sign Ronald Araujo permanently.
Before anyone comes for me, he's having a good season and I won't deny that. He's been a warrior for us.
But Β£55m is a LOT of money for a 27-year-old playing out of position.
We still need a natural RB who can defend and offer more going forward. Araujo is solid defensively, but his attacking game isn't exactly what we need from that position.
And at that price, we need to be sure we're getting the right long-term solution, not just rewarding a good loan spell.
I like Araujo, but Β£55m could be spent on a player who fits the role better.
