OCSB Continuing & Community Education

🌺🕯️ This Remembrance Day, we come together to remember, reflect and express our gratitude. Through our annual OCSB Remembers tribute, we invite you to recognize a Veteran, active service member or loved one by submitting their name to be displayed on the digital sign in front of our Catholic Education Centre from November 6 to 13. Community members are welcome to visit the sign and take a photo with their loved ones’ names as a meaningful way to remember and reflect. If there's someone special you'd like to honour, please fill out our form by Wednesday, November 4, at 9:00 am. 🔗 Read more details here: ocsb.ca/2026/10/28/ocsb-reme…

🧡 Today, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities, while reflecting on the lasting impacts of the Residential School System. Across our schools, students continue to learn about Truth and Reconciliation and reflect on what it means for all of us. These conversations help build understanding and remind us why this learning must continue throughout the year. Every Child Matters. 🧡 #OCSB #ocsbReconciliAction #EveryChildMatters #ocsbIndigenous

☀️📚 Nearly 5,000 OCSB students spent part of their summer working toward a goal, and they accomplished a lot! This year, 4,972 students took part in OCSB Summer School, earning credits, building skills, creating more flexibility in their timetables and preparing for September. That included 117 students in Grades 7 to 9, strengthening their literacy and numeracy skills through Skills Builder, and 24 students working toward their goals through the Indigenous Summer Program. And for five students, the summer ended with an especially big milestone: graduation! 🎓 Whether it meant earning a credit, getting back on track or simply walking into September with a little more confidence, every student had something worth celebrating. 💚 🔗 Read more: ocsb.ca/2026/09/11/5000-stud… #ocsb #ocsbBeCommunity
