I was reviewing a video ad I made for a solar brand when my nine-year-old sibling walked up behind me, curious as ever.
Amidst watching, he said:
"Is this not the video you did for a solar brand? I watched it on my daddy’s phone, You even mentioned they do CCTV!"
I was stunned. He remembered the details, and a child at that.
That's when it clicked for me: he understood every word because it was in Yorùbá. And because the message spoke his language, it stayed with him.
