Stage 6 loadshedding will be implemented from 12:00 until further notice. This is due to a high number of breakdowns since midnight, as well as the requirement to strictly preserve the remaining emergency generation reserves. Eskom will publish a full statement in due course.

Stage 3 and Stage 4 loadshedding will continue to be implemented between 00:00 - 16:00 and 16:00 - 00:00 daily until Saturday. Breakdowns currently amount to 15 492MW while planned maintenance is 5 076MW. A full statement and a further update will be published Friday afternoon.

#Loadshedding #Stage6 Following the tripping of a generation unit each at Kusile and Kriel power stations, Stage 6 loadshedding was implemented effective 04:16. Eskom appeals to the public to help conserve electricity.
