The ‘83 kɔm was caused by an El Niño heatwave, fyi
1982-1983. People died from heatstroke and dehydration, but what killed more was the drought it brought and the hunger that came with it.
Even in Ghana 1983 is still acknowledged as a year where a lot of people died. It’s only recently I learned that those events were connected to an El Niño heatwave.

I honestly don’t know why we’re so quiet about it.
When similar complaints keep coming up from several countries, perhaps Nigeria, it's time for some self-reflection.
You don't go to another country and treat its citizens like fools.
Respect is mutual.
Genuine concerns are dismissed as jealousy.
Then there are cases of Nigerian tenants leaving rented properties without notice or damaging items beyond repair, leaving landlords to bear the losses.
I don't hold anything against Nigerians, but these are some observed behaviours that would make any Ghanaian raise their eyebrows at you;
The superiority complex, acting like everyone else is dull, and this deep-rooted belief that somehow every country aside theirs envies them.
