🔹The two day second Executive Working Group Meeting under India–US Drug Policy Framework commenced today in New Delhi.
🔹Led by Shri Anurag Garg, DG, NCB, and Ms. Debbie Seguin, Deputy Director, ONDCP, USA, the meeting aims to advance cooperation in drug law enforcement and preventing precursor diversion, demand reduction and rehabilitation, and supply chain security.
🔹Discussions today focused on real time intelligence sharing, coordinated operations, scheduling of precursor chemicals, best practices in preventing diversion of precursor chemicals in partnership with the chemical industry and exchanging best practices in demand and harm reduction.

Another major win in the fight against maritime drug trafficking!
Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) San Juan conducted a maritime interdiction operation approximately 23 nautical miles off the coast of Loíza, Puerto Rico, resulting in the seizure of 98 kilograms of cocaine. Four individuals were aboard the vessel, including a pregnant woman.
This operation is part of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) initiative, established under Executive Order 14159, Protecting the American People Against Invasion. HSTF is a whole-of-government partnership dedicated to combating criminal cartels, foreign gangs, transnational criminal organizations, and human smuggling and trafficking networks.
HSTF San Juan with the support of PRVI HIDTA brings together federal, state, and local law enforcement partners working to disrupt criminal networks, protect Puerto Rico, and secure our borders.

The U.S. District Court in San Juan sentenced Luis Nomar Isaac Sánchez, also known as “C-Dobleta,” to 45 years in federal prison for his involvement with the criminal organization responsible for the murder of Puerto Rico Police Sergeant Eliezer Ramos Vélez.
Through the efforts of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF), we reaffirm our commitment to dismantling criminal organizations and bringing those who threaten the safety of our communities to justice.
This sentence represents a significant outcome for Puerto Rico, our law enforcement partners, and, most importantly, the family of Sergeant Ramos Vélez, whose memory and sacrifice we honor today.

October 28, 2026 | HSI San Juan, alongside Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) partners, supported the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) during Operation Los Tíos, targeting an alleged criminal organization involved in drug trafficking and firearms offenses in western Puerto Rico.
This federal prosecution is part of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) initiative, established under Executive Order 14159 to combat criminal cartels, foreign gangs, transnational criminal organizations, and human smuggling and trafficking networks.

Over the weekend, HSI McAllen and Task Force Officers seized 267 pounds of cocaine, a loaded firearm, three vehicles, and U.S. currency during an enforcement action at two residential locations. Two individuals were criminally arrested.

What began as a routine search quickly turned into a major loss for narco-terrorist networks. 👀🌊
In the Eastern Pacific near Costa Rica, the Costa Rica Coast Guard, @seguridadcrc tracked a suspicious go-fast vessel and later located floating packages in the water. A U.S. Government Maritime Patrol Aircraft, @jiatfs supported the search, helping locate additional bales.
Although the vessel was lost, the operation still resulted in:
• 📦 70 bundles recovered
• ⚖️ 1,667 kg of cocaine seized
• 🌊 Complete recovery of jettisoned contraband
