Strong innovation hubs need more than ideas — they need standards, structure, and collaboration. 🇳🇬
Today, ONDI and NITDA, in collaboration with the Innovation Support Network (ISN) and GIZ, convened a Stakeholder Workshop on Innovation Hub Standards and Certification in Abuja.
The workshop brought stakeholders together to examine the National Innovation Hub Standards Framework and ISN’s Audit and Certification Framework, identify areas of alignment, explore collaboration opportunities, and agree on practical steps towards coordinated implementation.
By aligning standards and strengthening institutional collaboration, we are taking steps towards a more structured, accountable, and impactful innovation hub ecosystem in Nigeria.

We heard from stakeholders across several states who attended our workshops in Abuja, Lagos and Akwa Ibom.
Now we want to hear from you.
Following the completion of the physical validation workshops for the National Innovation Hub Standards Framework, we are opening the draft Framework to the wider innovation ecosystem for public review and feedback.
The validation workshops brought together stakeholders from government, academia, innovation hubs, startups, development partners, investors and other ecosystem organisations. We now want to ensure that those who were unable to participate physically also have an opportunity to contribute.
Whether you run a hub, build a startup, work in academia, invest in innovation, support entrepreneurs or contribute to ecosystem development, your perspective matters.
Read the draft Framework and share your recommendations to help strengthen it as we move towards the next stage of development.
