I don't know how many white people realize how much this can affect black kids. When I grew up, the only black cartoon characters were in the background or played second fiddle. The creators of the cartoons made INTENTIONAL decisions to do that

I used to illustrate for medical books for a big educational company and they never let us illustrate black people. If we portraited a black character they would tell us to change. A few times I had to listen someone tell me to my face to turn into a white person.

Just FYI the former twice-impeached president bragged about sexual assault, muffled his own CDC in a pandemic (a move that led to 100s of thousands of deaths), and approved of a terrorist attack on our US capitol. If he's competitive in a straw poll the Dems are not the problem. – at St Louis, MO

R we ok with protestors blocking hospitals? I am absolutely not. Protest at City hall, in a park, block a road.....I don't care...but for goodness sakes let the health provers do their job. There has to be some leadership to reduce the moral stress on health providers right now!

I wish people understood the “99% survival rate” they like to crow about includes people who will survive but have to endure something like having a leg amputated due to untreatable blood clots brought on by Covid. 😔
