The Puruṣa Sūktam (Ṛgveda 10.90) is one of the oldest hymns in the world: the vision of the Cosmic Person, whose thousand heads, eyes and feet are all beings, and who still stands beyond the universe "by ten fingers."
In it, creation is an offering. From the Puruṣa come the moon (from his mind), the sun (from his eye), the wind (from his breath), the sky from his head and the earth from his feet. All that exists is only a quarter of him.
I kept stumbling over its uccāraṇa, so I asked Claude to make a video that helps me remember: each syllable condenses into light the moment it's chanted, and every line becomes a scene of what it means.
