The @SCStateFire Palmetto Incident Support Team completed a week-long training course today. The course consisted of classroom sessions and practical exercises. Today ended with a functional exercise in response to a fictional Category 4 hurricane making landfall in Charleston.
Thank you to everyone who supported the search mission yesterday and today. More than eighty personnel from seven counties in SC and NC worked together to provide a good outcome for a visiting family. We appreciate everyone involved and the relationship of our partner agencies.

Heads up to all - the sun may be coming out, but the risk for severe storms IS NOT OVER. The tornado risk has dropped, but there is a line of thunderstorms moving towards the area that could become severe. Greatest risk of damaging winds will be 6PM-10PM. Stay alert!

2019 Fire Service Improvement Conference - GREENVILLE, SC Thank you to the members of #teamoconee for spending their weekend to make themselves, their departments and our SC Fire Service better. @scfirefighters – at Anderson, SC
Why rapid intervention training on a Saturday? In the rain? Because firefighters are worth saving! While the occasion is rare, the inherent dangers of structural firefighting cause us to be ready to care for one of our own. #1county1mission
