What does Kenya really gain from diplomacy, and why does our presence on the global stage matter?
In this conversation, I unpack some of the big questions shaping Kenya’s place in the world:
UNGA 81: Why Kenya participated and what we stand to gain.
Dangote Refinery in Lamu: The proposed investment and its potential to create jobs and unlock economic opportunities.
Global Diplomacy: How we are strengthening Kenya’s international partnerships.
Nairobi as Africa’s Hub: Our ambition to position Nairobi as a leading centre for diplomacy, business and investment.
Africa’s Voice: President William Ruto’s efforts to position Kenya as a leading voice for Africa on the global stage.
Beyond the meetings, speeches and international travel, what’s actually in it for Kenyans?
We explore these questions and more in the full conversation on YouTube at MusaliaMudavadiTV and Facebook at Hon Musalia W Mudavadi

A nation is strongest when it remembers its history, honours those who shaped it and remains united in purpose.
In Bondo, Siaya County, I joined H.E. President @WilliamsRuto and the Odinga family for the handing over and dedication of the Mausoleum of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga.
The occasion honoured a statesman whose courage, public service and contribution to Kenya’s democratic journey remain deeply woven into our national story. His legacy reminds us that progress is built through justice, inclusion, dialogue and service to country.
As I stated during the ceremony, “If we fragment ourselves, we end up in sinking sands.” Our future depends on choosing unity over division and placing the interests of Kenya above our differences.
Together with Amb. Ida Odinga, Hon. Winnie Odinga, Rosemary Odinga, Raila Odinga Jnr and the wider Odinga family, we reflected on the life of a husband, father, grandfather and national leader whose influence will endure across generations.
May his legacy continue to inspire us to build one Kenya, united in purpose and committed to a better future for every citizen. 🇰🇪

Pwani ni Kenya, and the transformation taking shape in Lamu is proof that development must reach every corner of our country. 🇰🇪
Joined H.E. President @WilliamsRuto for the groundbreaking of the Dangote East Africa Petroleum Refinery, a landmark investment positioning our Coast at the heart of Africa’s growing energy, industrial and trade landscape.
Together with Presidents @KagutaMuseveni of Uganda, @WadagniRomuald of Benin and Jean-Lucien Savi de Tové of Togo, Prime Minister @AbiyAhmedAli of Ethiopia, Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki and Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote, we witnessed what is possible when African ambition, capital and leadership come together to build African solutions.
For Kenyans, this investment means the potential for thousands of jobs, opportunities for young people and local businesses, stronger regional trade and a major boost to Lamu and the wider coastal economy.
This is bigger than a refinery. It is about industrialisation, African integration and ensuring our resources and strategic location create prosperity for our people.
Kenya is rising. Pwani is rising. Africa is rising.
The Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Joseph Busiega, represented the Prime Cabinet Secretary, H.E. Dr. @MusaliaMudavadi , at the 2026 Diplomatic Golf Tournament held at VetLab Sports Club.
He also encouraged greater participation of young people in golf and other sporting disciplines, noting that nurturing young talent creates opportunities for personal development, mentorship and meaningful international connections through sport.
